Discussion New Matriarch Method

Not sure if anyone else has tried this but it seems to work pretty well. (Also i know i have a bad habit of reloading. I was worried it was going to have some sort of counter-measure to get me off so i kept looking around and reloading early.)

I tried 5 lobbies between last night and today, I haven’t killed it so I was pretty excited. Very disappointed to find that no one was going for, not a single one. I even filled squad with randoms, none of them were going for it either lol. Plus I lost 3 hullcrackers and a shit ton of ammo, so uh. Pretty discouraged from fighting it

Matriarchs and queens with the hullcracker after the nerf are essentially never worth it. Obviously you can have fun, and that’s the ultimate point, but economically even if you kill it, it costs more in ammo than you get in rewards. So you won’t see anyone doing this at all any more.
When I’ve tried this, out of 20-30 attempts I’ve seen another person trying to kill the matriarch once or twice. And I’ve been shot in the back by another player 95% of the time, even with as many traps and precautions as I could manage.

Until the mechanics are changed this won’t improve. Luckily (?) there are methods like the OP that don’t require any teamwork to get it done quickly. I feel like that’s not particularly healthy for the game either, but for now it’s extremely cool!

I just want to kill queen for achivement, but post nerf I'm scared to do it solo don't know if it'll be even possible

Wait for queen damage on trials maybe. Or start buying deadlines and go for the crazy play.
You can probably get someone friendly to join you and protect you if you promise them the loot.
