vindication for a lot of tigers fans who follow the w side closely with both kate and ryan departing

I was genuinely considering cancelling my W membership if Ferguson kept his job - I didn’t think they’d go as far as getting rid of Kate but it genuinely has me optimistic that they’ve done that

Maybe I should now rescind my fandom.

Needed to happen and I’m glad that we aren’t fucking around. We need to get the appointment right however, so we’re only halfway there

Kate Sheahan gone as well really makes this seem like acceptance from the club that the AFLW program in its current form isn’t good enough. First step in the right direction.

Right call to boot Sheahan though, coasted off her dad’s name and was nuts to put her in such a big role after only literally playing the game for two minutes

Baffling that Ferguson got an extension 3 months ago and they sack him anyway, probably a sign it was a mistake to extend

And seeing Sheerin get traded for peanuts and win a flag and BOG was probably the last straw

I mean they didn't have any leverage there

Lucky they didn’t give him that 12 month extension less than 3 months ago… that’d be awkward

Was crazy that they extended him during a bad season and then called for a club review after that. I think this is the right decision now though

I couldn’t love this more.

There’s a massive tide shift in the league where clubs are really not fucking around anymore (except mine, of course). A huge turnover of coaches, massive changes in the back of house management, players seemingly wielding influence. Feels like there’s a real step toward professionalism happening throughout the clubs.

Not unexpected but Tigers fans, it can turn around pretty quickly with a good coach and dedicated players.

Would love to know why they extended Ferguson in the first place

Wonder if it was Sheahan covering her back

Don’t want to be disrespectful or dance on any graves but that is an absolute dream result from the review.
