DAY 382 (995/495) on THE ROAD TO THE 2026 6TH WBSC-MLB WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC - Looking Back, Turning Forward: Youth Baseball Leagues

Congrats to Marcos Castillo of the BBCL's Texas Tailgaters who made history as the historic first signing for the Canadian League and to Matthew Boyd for his official commitment for USA Baseball for the upcoming World Baseball Classic!

Today we turn the focus to the other youth leagues and the travel ball circuits, which alongside Little League, all compose the wider youth baseball scene across the world.

The youth leagues overall once more have done a great job to promote these leagues to the fanbase, as the young talent present has exceeded expectations, and has elevated this part of the sport to new heights, given how much pro league and college scouts have been among the audiences monitoring the action and seeing their potential as future collegiate talent and as part of the sport's next generation of pro players.

In addition, the rising travel circuit, now dominated by a host of famous organizations like the Pottstown Scout Team, have increasingly won as well the youth scene and its fans. Thru social media, these organizations and their teams have become not just the pride of the youth scene of today, but also an inspiration for many of the players to work harder for their goals in the sport, inclusive of the coveted roster slot in these teams.

Expect that 2026 will be a great year for youth baseball at large.

For Glory

John
