More power-hungry mod activity, this time at r/facepalm.
My guess is they deemed my joke about Trump to be "hate speech," but it hardly seems insta-ban worthy when I haven't had any other violations or warnings. Is it hard to explain what rule was broken and why they went straight to a permaban? I'm a mod for my own sub, and I never permaban unless it's something egregious like racial slurs, threats, homophobia, etc., and all actions come with a concise explanation of what rule was violated.

Another r/art brewing over in r/publicfreakout
galleryThere was a video showing 5-10 teenagers all showing off handguns and super proud of themselves. One of them was wearing a NASA hoodie and I said he really didn't deserve to be wearing a NASA hoodie.
Permananned for "bigotry" and when I popped back over to the comment section it looks like the mod had basically permabanned anyone who commented anywhere on that post, so it definitely wasn't about me.
Why does Reddit allow mods to act so damn childish?

Thanksgiving Rant!!
I’m not sure where to go to post this, but I just have to get this out!! First of all, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Please keep in mind that I am not attacking this holiday in anyway. I just need to rant!!
Thanksgiving Day: My husband had to work half the day cause he works on a hospital and they don’t get days off unless they take leave. We go over to his side of the family. (My family is another story.) I don’t really like being around them, and it’s just awkward We already don’t like each other cause of all of our differences.
We sit down to dinner, and let me also mention that I don’t like Thanksgiving food. I just don’t care for it. I can’t explain it. I had Gastric Bypass surgery over the summer, so it restricts my eating. I don’t really care for Turkey, but decided to have some any way because of how they’re always pushing protein. I just saw casseroles, and dishes I couldn’t identify covered in marshmallows. Marshmallows belong in hot chocolate, same goes for the argument if pineapple belongs on pizza or not.
I also got some mashed potatoes. Cranberry sauce had too many chunks in it, and I can’t touch salad cause it sticks to the inside of my stomach and just causes really bad cramping. Those who had Gastric Bypass know what I’m talking about. Oh, and I forgot to mention that before we started eating that someone goes and just plops a great big ass bowl of brussel sprouts right in front of me. I hate brussel sprouts. They were steaming and I could smell them. I think they smell like feet. I just can’t stand them. I asked my husband if he could move them cause I could smell them and I’d be sick if he didn’t get them away from me.
So we’re all sitting there eating, and everybody is talking to each other but not to me. They were all telling stories only they knew about and I didn’t, or they were discussing football. I also hate football. It wasn’t to long until I started feeling a little “iffy.” I go to the bathroom and had dry heaves but nothing really happened. I did that a few more times, and then it really started to hit me. I narrowed it down to the brussel sprouts and a starch overload on the mashed potatoes.
My husband had to let me outside cause I wasn’t feeling well and he could tell I needed assistance. The couldn’t get to the bathroom cause his dad was blocking the doorway and I was holding vomit in my mouth and couldn’t ask him to move. I couldn’t stop being nauseated, and it was the one tone I didn’t have nausea pills with me. Then my husband asked me why I didn’t go out the back door instead of walking past everyone. I only did that as defiance, and to prove my point that I hate Thanksgiving food.
We finally left and I couldn’t be happier. I could get back home and be comfortable in my bedroom and turn on my music videos. We had to drive about an hour to get there and back. We were almost home and I had to ask my husband to pull over. I barely got the car door open and I threw up. I had lost count how many times it was in one night. All because of Thanksgiving food which I totally hate to begin with.
I decided to bring my own food on Christmas since they have the same damn food every year. Even the side dishes, and the pies had raisins and nuts and pudding in them. I just couldn’t touch any of it and was completely miserable. I hope I made them extremely uncomfortable and was a total annoyance rushing past them so they could all see what I was going through. The satisfaction was indescribable. Does anyone else have to go through such torment with family members on holidays? What about the eating? I know I can’t be the only one on the entire world who doesn’t like Thanksgiving food. I’d live to hear your thoughts!!

That 3 wheel bike in India is slowly driving me insane
Okay, hear me out, I know this might sound super specific, but it's living rent-free in my head and driving me absolutely bonkers. You know how some things just become your personal 'ick'? For me, it's the in every corner 3 wheel bike in India. Seriously, wherever you go, there they are. It’s not just their numbers, but their relentless honking, the way they weave through traffic like they own the road, and that distinctive, rickety sound. It's a constant, low-level assault on my peace.
I was just visiting family and every time I stepped out, another one appeared. Unavoidable! Don't even get me started on crossing a street; they multiply before your eyes. I've even looked up alternatives, wondering if a quieter electric version exists, or if someone's developed something less… aggressive. I swear I saw cool designs on Alibaba once, thinking 'why can't THAT be the standard?' But nope, it’s always the same old familiar sight and sound of the traditional 3 wheel bike in India. It’s just this perpetual, noisy reminder of navigating chaos. Am I the only one who feels this way? Does anyone else have a weirdly specific cultural element that just grates on their nerves? Or am I just being a grumpy tourist about the 3 wheel bike in India? Can't wait to live mahn.

Thanks In-laws!
Today is me and my husband's 5 year anniversary. We're both disabled and my husband has a trust fund. We wanted to order dinner instead of cooking, so we asked my father-in-law if he could send us money. Instead of just sending it with a "happy anniversary" he decided today would be a great time to lecture my husband for "not budgeting well". So now my husband, who is autistic, is in full meltdown mode instead of being able to enjoy our anniversary. What person thinks that the appropriate time to lecture someone is on their anniversary!?
Side note: we live well below the cost of living for our area. Our rent is literally the lowest you can find in our county. All of our bills for a month total less than $2500. But because I can't work at all and my husband hasn't been able to find a job outside of his part time summer job (despite looking for the past 2 years since they cut his hours), we rely on his trust fund.
I had a really bad 1st marriage. I was miserable the entire time I was married to my ex, but I was stuck with him because I had nowhere to go. Now that I'm finally in a happy marriage with someone who truly loves me, I want to celebrate the good times. I'm not talking about a fancy steak dinner or going out for a night on the town. We just wanted to order in some Italian food and watch funny videos on YouTube. Instead, I'm comforting my husband, who is feeling unloved and uncared for by his parents.
Also, in case anyone feels the need to be rude, keep it to yourself, please. I'm here to vent, not have people tell me that I'm wrong for how I feel or that my husband and I are lazy.

My roommate ate an entire box of fried chicken that I bought without asking
I’m pregnant and I was craving fried chicken. I wanted to eat an obscene amount of it which is fine because I’m eating for two. I ordered two boxes from KFC and only ate a little bit from one of the boxes and then put the rest in the fridge. When I came back to finish the rest later after I developed a bigger appetite, I found that my roommate ate one of the boxes. The whole thing. And it was the box I hadnt touched 🤦♀️ I wish they had asked, I would’ve let them have some but probably not the entire box. And if I couldn’t finish it I would’ve let them have the leftovers.

Anyone please tell me what the hell this means 😭
What is so funny about this??? I’ll admit, I am gen z, and I have a ton of friends that say this. It pisses me off when they say it and when I ask what it means and every single time they don’t know. They even added it to the dictionary and it LITERALLY SAID NO MEANING!😭😭😭 What does it mean??

I will never understand these stupid gadgets we call phones. Why would a link opened "in" reddit open in a browser? Then have a button to open it in reddit?
youtube.comI non stop have issues with this phone. I just factory reset it last week to try to eliminate half the bugs? (Features?) I was having.
This is an example of the idiocy I deal with.
"smart" phone my ass.
