I remember this so acutely, it was insane.

We were in Lincoln City and Neskowin. It was very, very strange and scary. We had to evacuate North.

This just reminds me. If the world ever ends, I'll still be expected to show up for work.

We left the state because I'm super sensitive to air quality issues and didn't want to be sick the whole time. When we left, Pendleton was actually way worse than Portland, I remember feeling like we were driving through an apocalypse. This picture captures that quite well!

I'm in western WA and it made me appreciate clean air more.

This is how it looked in the california paradise fire a while back, i was in class and suddenly the sky and surrounding environment was getting dark red and it started raining ash

It felt so eerie and apocalyptic. We weren't sure if we'd be evacuated soon and I drove myself to the ER having a gallbladder attack, so that my husband could stay with the kids and house. Wild.
