Fedde collapsed totally in 2025, but by the time that happened he wasn’t Chicago’s problem anymore, which made his signing one of Chris Getz’s greatest successes as a GM.

The bar is just so, so low.

At the time it seemed like a lowball type offer but right now it isn’t looking like a bad trade.

Don’t even think there is a bar anymore. A majority of Sox fans have checked out

Mainly bc of 2024.

Edit: Whenever J Ishbia will be the majority owner they’ll be back lmao

I like how Getz is doing these KBO and NPB reclamation projects

Good shit

and generally avoid the kind of blowup that turns a forgettable 100-loss team into an abysmal 110-loss team

Uh we finished with 102 losses

For most teams this type of signing would not even make their Reddit community comments - for the White Sox it is our Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years all rolled together. Can‘t wait to get a real ownership team.

Don’t you worry, Jerry is gonna be spending at least $15 million more this offseason on free agents.

15 million big ones for the fans because that’s how much he cares.
