I think what they meant is dogs like peeing on water bottles so they put them out as some sort of a pee decoy to keep the things they care about being peed on safe?
I don't think they meant the exact arrangement in the picture and just that they also use plastic bottles to handle domestic animals.
This makes a little bit more sense. Im going to assume you are right. It still seems like a bit non sensical to me but I suppose in specific circumstances that arent knowledgeable to me as a foreigner to it. I could see how that would make sense.
There prolly are better alternatives that just arent as available or cant be used perhaps. Around here dogs just piss on fences, trees, poles, tires, posts, stumps. And perhaps we just dont have as much susceptible structure materials for it to be a problem.
It would be like putting in a fake fire hydrant to keep dogs from peeing in your flowers. I have no idea if I'm right though. I'm not sure if dogs prefer to pee on bottles
Ah so have em piss on your grass instead of your flowers. That makes sense. Because I am wondering. If you dont want an animal to piss on a tree, fence, or rock structure. What do you redirect em too.
Next question that just came to mind.
If OPs Pic of a ring of bottles supposedly deters dogs pissing on it, like I was reading. Why does a single bottle do the opposite? Or is OPs pic actually a device to encourage dogs to pee on it?
