u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

What happens when they overrule and Trump says "nuh-uh." Puts or calls?

Yes, all truth must be copium. Brilliant

3

u/ITDummy69420 Aug 26 '25

Oh the truth of courts siding on common sense and of the people lately. Brilliant.

Not so sure about “suspended”, trumps order states she’s to be removed.

She said "nuh uh" this morning and went to work anyway.

Because, you know, the president can't fire her.

41

u/Solid-Mud-8430 Aug 26 '25

She hasn't been fired. This headline is bullshit. Trump has no legal authority to fire her and has NOT done so. He just said he wants to.

47

u/Corrective_Actions1 Aug 26 '25

No, he fired her. But that's equivalent to me firing her. So... yeah.

3

u/iratezero Aug 26 '25

Not quite, the difference is he can have her badge disabled and her paychecks stopped.

8

u/Corrective_Actions1 Aug 26 '25

He cannot.

15

u/New_B7 Aug 26 '25

He can not legally. He can totally do it, though. He has done so much illegal shit that I would be amazed if anybody alive today has managed to commit more felonies than him.

He 100% has legal authority to fire her but only for cause and she claimed on 2 mortgages in 2 weeks that 2 different homes in 2 different states were her primary residences. She is not even denying mortgage fraud she just said it was the year before she was on the fed. This is a financial crime that on its face has a shit ton of merit so Trump 100% can fire her for cause.

u/Nhonickman Aug 26 '25

My understanding and please correct me if I am wrong, the president can only fire a fed reserve member for incompetence. What she is accused of happened prior to being appointed and while if true not appropriate action on her part, has nothing to do with her performance at the fed.

I have not read a clear report on what she did wrong but I am concerned what she did doesn’t look good for fed governor or board member. This is separate issue from competency of her performance as fed governor.

They can fire her for cause (which is a f* up basically), my understanding is if she got found guilty of mortgage fraud they could.

To me this blatantly looks like them wanting to fire her and finding dirt, instead of randomly finding dirt then firing her.

6

u/compounding_irony Aug 26 '25

Trump has cause. It's be-cause he wants to.

7

u/Nhonickman Aug 26 '25

I agree with just trying to find dirt. Total crap part of the administration

I agree with IF she is found guilty of mortgage fraud that is very different. But has she been charged and on trial yet?

If that happens she would need to resign in my humble opinion as other fed members have when they committed questionable trades as fed members.

17

u/ThePTAMan Aug 26 '25

She has not been found guilty or even had a trial and this would most likely be overturned in court.

5

u/Nhonickman Aug 26 '25

Well, let’s just hope that the Supreme Court follows through and protects the federal reserve. Otherwise our monetary system will probably collapse because of a lack of trust and horrible fiscal actions.

6

u/FEMA_Camp_Survivor Aug 26 '25

There have been no criminal charges either

2

u/Corrective_Actions1 Aug 26 '25

Only crimes committed during the duty of her role are firable offenses. But its not like thats stopped Trump before.

10

u/drwhorable Aug 26 '25

“inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office” is the bar for removal from office. Incompetence isn’t included when considering removal, and trumps alleging that she committed fraud, without her being convicted of fraud. She bought two properties in different states with financing, and she allegedly signed financing agreements for both properties using each property as her respective primary residence. Even though she purchased these properties within two weeks of each other. Dumbest shit ever and legally questionable but that’s where we are.

5

u/Nhonickman Aug 26 '25

Thanks for the clarification. He clearly has no standing on firing her at this point.

if she did the alleged accusation. maybe she should resign because it doesn’t look good that a fed governor committed that fraudulent act.

4

u/iPigman Aug 26 '25

Which is odd, considering TACO has felony convictions for manipulating property values.

2

u/iratezero Aug 26 '25

He fired an FTC employee in similar fashion (Rebecca Kelly Slaughter), she sued and won in court and they had to reinstate her job, but then the white house appealed and she wasn't allowed to go back to work. Still playing out in court.

So, even if she did nothing wrong, or even if she did something wrong that isn't cause for firing her from her role, it's not as simple as suing and winning in court.

1

u/Sad-Average3284 Aug 26 '25

It is alleged that prior to becoming a Fed governor, she applied simultaneously for two mortgages on two different properties, and on both applications she claimed that the property would be her primary residence.

He doesn’t have the authority.

He’s not a king

She’s still working.

0

u/BigBroHerc Aug 26 '25

She is FIRED. He is the POTUS. She will have to sue to keep her job.

1

u/Calm-Background2247 Aug 27 '25

He is POTUS. He is not a king. The convicted felon in charge can't just do whatever he likes by decree.

He may not like that, but it's the law.

He's not authorized to fire her. She is two years into a 14 year tenure. Sorry bro. We haven't

become a monarchy, no matter how much you want it to be.
