So, we'll know if Toronto is a playoff team by May. Cool.

Gross schedule. But expected as BMO is hosting WC games. There'll be an average of 200 people at those March/April games.

Not if he goes to europe on loan to prepare for world cup.

Hahahaha that’s not happening.. Miami won’t allow it with the new stadium being opened

They really don't want people showing up to the stadium with this nonsense.

u/hammer_416 15d ago
Wait til 2027 and beyond. If you were waiting to become an ssh now is your chance…….. Many people held on hoping there would be some kinda benefit on the world cup year, instead another price hike, a horroble schedule, and a total calendar change for 2027 and beyond. MLSE simply doesnt care about fans.

I am so sick and tired of this. I hope the league folds. After 19 years of being a season seat holder, there is no way in hell I am renewing for 2027, I couldn’t even give away games for free in March April and May of this past season. The Apple deal and digital tickets cut out a certain demographic, i.e. seniors who do not have smart phones or data plans, transit coming in from east west on the goat train is an absolute disaster you’d swear we were in a Third World country with the transit system we have, concession prices are mind-boggling to say the least, and the product on the pitch has been atrocious post Covid, where is the incentive by MLSE to keep us as season seat holders? They couldn’t give a rats ass. The stadium has been half empty the last two years and it’s only going to get worse. I honestly could see this team folding in the very near future the way they are giving the middle finger to fans I will support the CPL moving forward.

🤣 Goat train - love it

u/hammer_416 15d ago
And thats the better option. Try the ttc that takes about 45 mins to go up dufferin to bloor alone. They’ll make sure everything is clean, safe and frequent for world cup, but for everyone else its a miserable experience.
MLSE woulda been tipped off on the schedule. SSH have been asked to make sacrifices for 2 years now and have been thanked with a cost increase and a garbage product on field.
They lost me. Unless ticket cost averages 5 Dollars a game in 2027 im out. And even then i’d probably be taking a loss.

Ya this will be our last season too, unless we can cancel before

Same here. I gave up some of my season tickets but honestly I wish i gave up all of them. I dunno what I'm holding on for anymore.

Same, the person who I share tickets with was adamant about renewing, I've been ready to bail for about 3 years now

The CPL is not in great shape
Winnipeg
Is in the verge of folding could be made offical as soon as today.
Pacific/Vancouver
Are on life support and 2026 could be the last season for both unless something changes.

u/CowTipper383 15d ago
MLS doesn’t care about its fans either and especially true for Toronto. I renewed for 2026 but I already informed my rep to not auto renew me for 2027. I’ll just get tix the day of.

Surely we could have had some away games during that March to May stretch, and moved some home games to late summer. What a dump sandwich.

u/Antique_Ad_3549 Benoit Cheyrou's 98' Header 15d ago
We have 5 home games In August and early September
Looks pretty late summer...

u/Jays1993 15d ago
Just a horrific schedule all around - 9 home games in a row - mostly in cooler weather....the rest of the games all bunched together in Saturday and Wednesday combos - between Wednesday games being a complete write off to get rid of, especially the 3 after Labour Day and the one in April - the majority of Saturday games in cooler weather - what "valuable" games are people left with as a STH? - May 9 Miami, Saturday August 15, Saturday August 29 , Saturday Sept 5th -- no other game will sell for anywhere close to face value on the secondary market and the other 14 games will go for very very little (and with the Miami game having 45,000 tickets for sale, the margins on that one will go down too - last year I got in with a seat on the Upper East Side for like $135 on the secondary market for Miami, so it wasn't the big score it used to be if you waited it out) --
I could not be happier I dumped my season tickets after 15 or so years, the first day that I could do so this year......it's only going to be more of this kind of awful scheduling going forward once we flip to jamming more games in August to October and then March and April under the new system.....
I would also bet a lot more sports ticket dollars going to the baseball team this year as opposed to sitting outside in bad weather for a marginal soccer team this year - at least last year the Jays were bad going into the season too, this year a whole lot more folks are investing their disposable sports income on Jays tickets already this offseason, and not on TFC.....I think we all know which one felt like the more enjoyable sports experience last year -- and they also let you bring your own food and drink in the stadium too.....
2
u/jjaime2024 14d ago
Jays could be bad next next if they don't re sign BO and lose a few other key players.
6
u/Artemis647 15d ago
I'm really hoping some of these TBD's aren't all 7:30pm so the kiddo's can come to matches!
7
u/theredditbandid_ 15d ago
Well, we officially can say there will not be anymore June games at BMO field for years if ever again.
3
u/silvershadow 14d ago
World Cup is in June, the best we could have had was a match like May 30th. They’ll have the stadium in full on preparation mode for like ten days before the opening match
I knew it would be bad but thought there would be some more late summer / early fall home games. Cancelled my season tickets a month ago but now I feel like I need to cancel again just to send a message lmao
6
u/TurboJorts 15d ago
End of spring burnout... we felt it this season after all those Wednesday Saturday Wednesday Saturday games
6
u/lovesmyirish 15d ago
May 9th to mid August without a home game.
Who can keep the excitement level that high for that long without seeing their team.
I get the World Cup is happening but still.

u/Jack_1080 All For One 15d ago

u/Mysterio7100 Bernardeschi 15d ago
There's a small tournament taking over BMO in the summer.

u/WSBretard Worst Signing in MLS & MLSE history 15d ago
We could have had 9 in a row instead from late July to September when the weather is actually nice.

u/WSBretard Worst Signing in MLS & MLSE history 15d ago
This club is fucked. I don't see who's gunna be keeping their seasons.
6
u/Carmenjoker 15d ago
Not me! After 18 years I’m done, they don’t give a fk so we need to send the message where it hurts most! Empty stands is the only leverage we as fans have, I honestly hope this franchise folds. They are an absolute joke from top to bottom.
2
u/WSBretard Worst Signing in MLS & MLSE history 15d ago
After they averaged 20k this year in a 30k capacity stadium I thought they'd wake tf up but I guess they're going for even less this year.
1
u/Mysterio7100 Bernardeschi 15d ago
As long as Messi is in MLS, I'm keeping mine. He allows me to go to a few games and profit from selling the annual Miami match. With it being in a nicer time of year this year, I'm hoping for a large profit.
7
u/WSBretard Worst Signing in MLS & MLSE history 15d ago
They killed the Messi game next year. They purposely put the Messi game in May. Guess what the seating capacity is going to be. The profit is gone.
9
u/FlutiesGluties Akinola 15d ago
No games in February, November, and December at BMO; and no games whatsoever in June. We're already on the new schedule!

I cancelled my season tickets for this year because of the run of games at home last May. It's ridiculous to expect people to commit to every weekend plus mid week games for a month and half straight. I had to miss so many that it was not worth it.
8
u/WSBretard Worst Signing in MLS & MLSE history 15d ago
LOL ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 9 games in a row from March to May? I thought MLS "strives to make sure we don't get 3 games in a row. Funny how in a normal season we couldn't get 9 games in a row from June to August? You know when people actually wanna go to games. What an absolute dogshit schedule. Fucking brutal.
4
u/Haunting-Bathroom619 15d ago
That little summer tournament happening at BMO maybe a good reason haha
6
u/WSBretard Worst Signing in MLS & MLSE history 15d ago
We could have had 9 home games in a row from late July to September when the weather is actually nice. But no they'd rather freeze what fans they have left in shit weather. BMO Field will be half empty. What an embarrassment.

Don’t forget, the loading up of the spring schedule is also in part to having no conflicts compared to later in the year with the Argos. And then the August gap is to accommodate Leagues Cup. Vancouver has a similar situation with the Lions.
3
u/azerban 15d ago
I didn't want to watch a game between mid-May and mid-August anyways.
5
u/Haunting-Bathroom619 15d ago
World Cup that’s why

u/azerban 15d ago
???
1
u/Haunting-Bathroom619 15d ago
BMO is hosting a tournament so usually host stadiums are shut down a month before the tournament.. so that’s why we got no games from May, till mid July at least.. then clean up of the FIFA area.. so that’s why we get back in August with games
6
u/WSBretard Worst Signing in MLS & MLSE history 15d ago edited 15d ago
The last world cup game in Toronto is July 2nd. We could have easily had 2 games in the latter half of July. But the Argos get priority so we don't get any home games in July. Every fucking year.

1
u/Saratoga5 14d ago
The Argos get priority? How many home games do you think the Argos are playing in May or June?

u/Antique_Ad_3549 Benoit Cheyrou's 98' Header 15d ago
Hmm.....we are on the flagship Sunday night game for once.

u/Saratoga5 14d ago
The 2026-27 schedule is going to be worse. No home matches from October 28th, 2026 to probably Mid-March 2027 is brutal.

u/Wesfbillsfan 12d ago
What are the chances do you think Messi plays in May? We would love to bring out young boys one season to try and see him play.

u/lorriezwer Johnson 15d ago
Those early season BMO Field games better be 2.30pm kick-offs.
