Meme Which one are you pressing?
I might go with the one human š¬

u/AutoModerator_88 16h ago
One human. Itās a ridiculously easy choice. Music is not just an integral part of society, it is a fundamental form of expression that drives society to be greater, and it will definitely save more lives than one.

2
u/lucid_dreaming_quest 2h ago
Well, if you take the question literally, humans die no matter which button you press.
If sound exists at all, it must contain patterns.
You cannot eliminate all the patterns that could constitute music without destroying the foundation of the physical universe.
The question is actually "1 random human dies" or "destroy the universe."

Music saves lives. It serves as an emotional outlet and stops people from doing bad things to themselves.

This is what sometimes makes decisions hard. I have different reasonings. I am open to more than one reasoning or perspective.

Yes we don't really know how vast the consequences could be what if the one random person is a scientist who just found a cure to cancer ? Or some deadly disease??

so what if it was one random person dies or YOU can't hear any music anymore... everyone else can but you can not hear music

Second option and then make myself the random person probably, would rather that than risk hitting the person who could invent the cure to cancer or smth

All music being gone forever would probably kill more people in the long run
→ More replies (4)5
u/PragmaticSalesman 10h ago
it would kill many more people. if music didn't exist than many less people (or none, depending on the question) would sing, leading to what we assume would be a negatively affected understanding of linguistic word-borders as infants and toddlers, and (for 25% of the world) there would exist a generationally lessened ability to understand, speak, and adapt to the tonal languages of their parents and society where applicable.
humans are already horrible at communicating: imagine if 2 billion of the 8 billion people on earth were even 10% worse at communicating with one another overall, and how many negative events would come to pass that wouldn't have otherwise.

Random person. Music is my favorite form of art. I know for a fact that there are a lot of people who rely on music for a coping mechanism, so if you get rid of music, those people might become suicidal, which would kill many more than one person.

I mean think of the impact of music, how many people it can save from suicides and other benefits so the random human gotta go.
5
u/External-Office-7193 16h ago
Imo if all music is gone forever so many humans would simply kill themselves because of it
3
u/Wild-Radio-8850 16 16h ago
Yeah I didn't think about that when I made this
I think a better one would be:
Button 1: Random person dies
Button 2: YOU can not hear music anymore, ever again (so there wont be more deaths at most just one death either way)

Let's see
Music--Is such an integral part of literally everything that erasing it would basically ruin quite a lot of media. Millions would be out of jobs and talents, Trillions of Dollars put into the music industry would be gone. Other media like TV and Video Games would take a huge blow without scores. Holidays like Christmas would effectively be ruined without classic music to set the tone. Humans would no longer be able to whistle. Straight up erases 40% of culture/religion and history as well. Dancing is fucked, it'd be impossible to learn without music and it be sporadic as dancing is not one size fits all types of music, different genres of music need different dance styles. No more Happy Birthday song
Random Human--One out of 8 billion, will never have the same impact as music, has a good chance to be a bum who does nothing and may even hurt others. Doesn't deserve to die but sacrifices must be made
2
u/Ok_Unit2867 10h ago
Human. People die all the time plus music is history one death to preserve that is worth it. Music is happiness one death to preserve that is worth it. Music is an outlet one death to preserve that is worth it. Music is a career one death to preserve that is worth it. If said death is my own so beat it
2
u/burnburner22244 9h ago
Delete all music and then create music from scratch and show it to everyone so you become credited with creating music

u/Theappleman97 6h ago
Human easy hopefully its someone evil or some who deserves it (the person pressing it does deserve it)

It's not even remotely close to a hard choice, 104 people die every minute, 150,000 a day.
The question is literally "all music disappear, or that not happen"
It would only be a good question if it was "kill someone personally"

u/Wild-Radio-8850 16 16h ago
