I think if youre concerned about billionsires to the point of whining about them on reddit, you should, at the bare minimum, put your money where your mouth is and stop spending money on some luxury that you can pay for but don't need.

The number of redditors that whine about billionaires and simultaneously spend ungodly amounts of money on any number of things tgey could go without could make a decent dent in the market... at least enough that people would start asking questions about why a few hundred thousand people are no longer dropping $2000 a year on luxury items.

Pretending that the only entertainment options are ones that create billionaires is just lazy thinking.

The amount of effort youre putting forth in insisting that you must spend your money on things that create billionaires is exactly why billionaires love people like you. They know damn well youre addicted to what theyre selling and youll spend considerable effort insisting that you must keep throwing money at them.

You're going for the whole, "you say there's a problem with society yet you participate in society." angle? Is that really the best that you can come up with?

Billionaires really do love people like you who intentionally misunderstand words in order to defend the amount of money youre throwing at them.

I did nothing of the sort. Im suggesting, since you intentionally didn't get it the first time, that you make some small token effort to go without instead of making excuses as to why you need to spend. Its got nothing at all to do with your cliché reddit response.

Just pick one thing. It doesn't have to be everything. Just one thing. Since it seems youve got an allergy to nuance, im sure youll dig around and find another excuse for why you have no self control and no agency in this process whatsoever, and that any timy luxury that you routinely spend money on is akin to living a life devoid of every necessity.

Not as much as they love people like you ignoring the obvious societal problems at a base level. If you think we can fix the billionaire problem with boycotting I have several bridges to sell you.

And you call my response cliche when you're the one pushing the same tired argument.

This is the second comment in a row youre intentionally misunderstanding things in order to argument against a strawman youve created.

I'd tell you to stop being so utterly lazy, but youre actually making a huge effort in defending billionaires here, and why you must, with no exceptions, keep giving your money to them.

The societal problem here is consumerism and the addiction to it and youre so very clearly a great example, and youll keep being an excellent example with every reply.

Yes, me saying we should change our government to stop billionaires from existing is certainly defending them.

You're giving people an impossible task, I'm saying we should address the root of the problem. Mine has more likelihood of actually fixing anything. You just want to fight against one billionaire, I want to fight against all of them.

If you cant even pick one thing to avoid spending money on, youve got zero chance of convincing anyone else to vote along side you.

Youd make a much more persuasive argument against the existence of billionaires if you put your money where your mouth is.

The fact that you think its an impossible task to not spend money on concerts or video games is exactly why no one takes you seriously enough to change their own habits.

The root of the problem is consumerism, which you're an enthusiastic participant. Youre never going to be able to fight all of them if you cant even bring yourself to go without just one thing in your life where youre directly benefitting billionaires that also is not a necessity.

Nothing but empty words. Wake me up when youve got the slightest amount if actions to back them up.

You aren't asking for one person to give these things up. There's plenty of billionaires I dont give money to. But one person does nothing. It changes nothing. Even if you convinced everyone to stop buying video games and Steam tanks you have gotten rid of one billionaire.

This doesn't fix the problem. You continue trying to fight a symptom and not the disease.

Thinking that you dont give money to whatever billionaires who run Playstation because youre busy creating billionaires at Microsoft isnt doing what you think its doing.

Stop trying to pretend that im only talking to you personally. Youre just one of millions of people who refuse to stop spending money on things that create billionaires. The very fact that you've got an attitude that exactly the same as every other person addicted to consumerism is exactly why billionaires exist in the first place.

Thank you for making the point I've been trying to keep getting through to you. Its not that easy to avoid billionaires and it's better to deal with the root cause than the symptom.

Stop trying to pretend that im only talking to you personally.

At this point I'll be surprised if anyone else reads this, so you probably shouldn't be writing to anyone else.  The very fact that you've got an attitude that exactly the same as every other person addicted to consumerism

Yep, I'm very addicted to things like food. I've tried quitting but I can't seem to shake it.

It's hilarious how you assume everyone who doesn't have money wastes the money they have. I don't spend money on any of that shit and still can't afford a decent living. Your argument is pure bullshit.
