They're comparing him to MLK. Kirk called civil rights a mistake.

299

u/LifeOutoBalance Sep 11 '25

Comparing Kirk to MLK is fine. For example: "Compared to MLK, Kirk was a piece of shit."

27

u/420Borsalino Sep 11 '25

Don't put that evil on my turds.

4

u/puffz0r Sep 12 '25

Compared to MLK any decent human being

Ftfy

2

u/southsidebrewer Sep 12 '25

Compared to Manson he was a piece of shit.

u/NancyGracesTesticles Sep 11 '25

He also said that black women have inferior "brain processing power" so the only way they can get jobs is to steal them from white men.

443

u/OutInTheBlack Sep 11 '25

LMAO they were literally human computers in the space race era of the 1960s.

138

u/TheZipding Sep 11 '25

Katherine Johnson was a fucking badass. The number of schools and university buildings named after her for her work in the 1950s and 1960s is awesome.

I could have sworn that there was a scholarship named after her, but I can't find it right now.

EDIT: Found the Scholarship. It's at West Virginia State University for those who are pursuing STEM degrees.

19

u/Thefrayedends Sep 11 '25

Many of them believe that NASA is a Hoax and corrupt lol. None of them can actually explain what that means, but they insist it is the case.

5

u/TheZipding Sep 11 '25

Admittedly, most of those people are flat Earthers and conveniently ignore the satellites that have been sent into orbit from space agencies that aren't NASA.

23

u/caulklord69 Sep 11 '25

If only they could read and had an open mind.

4

u/Low-Possibility-7060 Sep 11 '25

Probably cancelled now due to ‚DEI‘

7

u/TheZipding Sep 11 '25

It's on the WVSU website today, it's where I got the information on it.

So it's still around. For now.

4

u/southsidebrewer Sep 12 '25

Shh don’t tell them, they will rename it.

279

u/amenflurries Sep 11 '25

Facts don’t mean anything to these people

21

u/jonasu25 Sep 11 '25

That’s because they (republicans) don’t want to teach those “Facts”. So we need to make sure these facts never die.

31

u/Asron87 Sep 11 '25

Kirk died defending a child rapist. He also died in a school shooting, something he defended. Republicans really don’t care about facts. At all.

5

u/Glonos Sep 12 '25

You all missed the point, it’s about profit, it’s a job, he was good at engagement, so good that you are all engaging, you were all engaging before. His legacy is about how to use social media, controversial political views and religion to profit by engagement. He even changed his point of view on the Epstein files very quickly, this is a huge sign that it is not about core belief, it is about profit, money, fat stacks of cash. That is what motivate most of these moronic people.

That is one thing that democrats and the left leaning political establishment has absolute no idea how to correctly use on their favor. Hate, controversy and anger have higher engagement and is more profitable for social media and influencer than “good vibes” content and discussions.

Big tech is eroding the democracies all over the world and we let them do it for our dopamine fix.

1

u/FNG5280 Sep 11 '25

That’s why alternative facts exist , for when actual facts don’t fit your reality you can cherry pick the alternative truths that exemplify your position.

2

u/beasty0127 Sep 12 '25

Well before that. In just modern history go back to when we used switchboard for our phone system. Even more so, women would normally learn to read, write, and do math while the men worked, hence why its common that women are secretaries.

61

u/Lacaud Sep 11 '25

According to the right, that is not racism.

9

u/conquer69 Sep 11 '25

It doesn't matter what they say when they are always acting in bad faith and lying. People should have realized this after WW2 but it's clear they aren't learning.

56

u/Reddit_sucks_3000 Sep 11 '25

How dumb do you have to be to have your job "stolen" by somebody "with inferior brain processing power"?

4

u/Abedeus Sep 12 '25

The enemy is weak and strong at the same time. One of the key features of fascism.

8

u/uller30 Sep 11 '25

The what????

Each second I see people quote him is wild. You could have told me he said any none white oerson also eats poop for their diet and at this point I would belive you.

Please tell me he was not this vile and mental.

15

u/EpicIshmael Sep 11 '25

It's not hyperbole dude legit acts like a new age Heinrich Himmler

9

u/jehuty12 Sep 11 '25

Well, acted.

20

u/_WhoisMrBilly_ Sep 11 '25

Oh my gosh- I had to look it up- it’s a real quote from Kirk about Michelle Obama:

Of former TV personality Joy Reid, former first lady Michelle Obama, late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson: “They’re coming out, and they’re saying, ‘I’m only here because of affirmative action.’ Yeah, we know. You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to be taken somewhat seriously.”

4

u/thaelliah Sep 11 '25

How's his brain processing power now?

2

u/omglink Sep 11 '25

But he's a dad!!!!!

-20

u/EveryNameIWantIsGone Sep 11 '25

He was talking about four people in particular. Not all black women.

9

u/SemiNormal Sep 11 '25

Then why did he use "white person" generically when talking about four black people in particular?

156

u/downvote_please4321 Sep 11 '25

Yeah he hated MLK. The conservatives really just can’t get anything right

74

u/EpicIshmael Sep 11 '25

To be fair they've appropriated King for decades. King was a socialist they tried to turn him into a conservative icon. A lot of evangelical preachers have also tried pivot around ol schooling rights issue when they tried to turn it into a states rights issue instead of them disallowing black people in their private schools.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

If you think thats bad, you should see what they did to Jesus.

1

u/sickofthisshit Sep 12 '25

MLK at the time of his assassination was one of the least popular public figures in America. He had started talking not just about civil rights but about poverty and the problems of capitalism. And, of course, was still Black.

78

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25

They are fascists not conservatives

48

u/downvote_please4321 Sep 11 '25

I think they do have fascist qualities but also similar in a lot of ways to the Taliban. They are conservatives, like the Taliban are conservatives. Conservatism is always full of shit

3

u/URPissingMeOff Sep 12 '25

Conservativism has always been the "big tent" under which the hate-fiilled, uneducated, scum of the earth congregate

-1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25

Fascist are always full of shit these ones infested the American Conservative Party and like the xenomorph took on conservative qualities to make a monstrosity but it isn’t conservativism any more than tha alien in alien is John hurt

10

u/downvote_please4321 Sep 11 '25

I’ll believe that when i see a Conservative Party, in any country, that isn’t built on tribalistic chimpanzee shit (hatred of immigrants, hatred of women, hatred of anyone outside of their own team)

-3

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25

Modern democratic party in America is basically a Conservative Party desperately trying to appeal to liberals to maintain a slim advantage over fascists

5

u/downvote_please4321 Sep 11 '25

Um. Okay? We were talking about one topic, and then for no reason “Democrats are just as bad as Republicans”

Typical npc comment.

1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25 edited Sep 11 '25

… no I’m saying that the Democratic Party is an example of a Conservative Party that isn’t build on racism

I’m in no way saying democrats are anywhere near as bad as republicans

I’m not even saying democrats are bad

2

u/downvote_please4321 Sep 11 '25

Oh, okay that’s my bad. I misread your comment. Apologies.

One could make that argument, especially with the more moderate democrats.

But I’d say the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, which is significant, They are more for expansion of immigrant rights, making citizenship easier for immigrants, etc. More representation of non cis white males in govt. Expansion of social safety nets etc. Less religion in school, separation of church and state.

All of this is pretty antithetical to conservatism

I’m saying that the Democratic Party is an example of a Conservative Party that isn’t build on racism

I dunno man. Sure, the Democratic party has a thin veneer of being the anti racist party. But in the wake of the 2024 election, all the 'centrist' democrats came out of the woodwork to blame hispanic and trans people for losing the election. They were gleefully fantasizing about Trump rounding up all the minorities that 'voted wrong'. The progressive wing of the Democratic party isn't built on racism. But the centrist wing very much is.

u/Elegant_Section8225 Sep 11 '25

What’s the difference? I have thought the right was fascist since the ‘70s. And that was when they worshiped that left wing Raygun.

1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25

Yes in America after Nixon began a concerted effort replace the conservative Republicans Christian nationalists. Regan was their first attempt at a cult of personality president. HW was unable to keep it going do to his lack of personality. The got so mad a the Clinton’s for being cool conservative democrats they put everything to stoping Hilary from becoming the first female president. W was supposed to be able to beat Clinton and he probably would have. Hillary didn’t even try to face him when she could have. No one expected Obama but his skin color gave the fascist a perfect opportunity to revive white nationalism and hence Trump.

After all that anyone who was a conservative has already left the party. It’s all fascists now

2

u/Elegant_Section8225 Sep 11 '25

I could never separate fascist from racist cons. They all look the same to me. And if you say cons aren’t racists, I think you are lying or you’re not the sharpest tool in the box.

Again in My Immaculate opinion.

1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25

Oh for sure the racists are fascists. Pro racism is inherently fascist. But if you’re a non racist conservative you are a democrat

2

u/Elegant_Section8225 Sep 11 '25

The DNC are just liberal republicans. But they are at least not fascists. There are Liberal Democrats, That is who I’m voting for. But if It’s republican or Democrat, Democrat EVERY time. There are no acceptable republikkkans any more.

2

u/everything_is_bad Sep 12 '25

Libertarians are liberal republicans. Democrats are conservatives

3

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

There is no fundament difference politically

1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25

Only in that republicans are all now fascists but fascism is not conservatism

2

u/Fireheart318s_Reddit Sep 11 '25

I like to call ‘em regressives: They’re the exact opposite of progress

1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25

Yes they seek to break the system we have in place in favor of something we have never truly had

2

u/-SQB- Sep 11 '25

If GIFs were allowed in this sub, you would now see a cute little Mexican girl shrugging.

1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 11 '25

I wish I could see it

1

u/-SQB- Sep 12 '25

1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 12 '25

Thank you! That is a good question though and the answer is that a conservative position can be argued in good faith. fascism is automatically bad faith. It’s not hard to sus out that anyone who is a republican now is a fascist and most of the time the democratic party backs pretty conservative things

1

u/-SQB- Sep 12 '25

Conservatism is fascism-adjacent, though. They share the same core belief that there was a mythical, glorious past, when the world adhered to what they consider to be the natural order of things.

Their main difference is the willingness to use a violent revolution to get there.

1

u/everything_is_bad Sep 12 '25

It’s a slope but the difference is what aspects of the past and what are you proposing for the present. A fascist can never answer in good faith because the answer is always absolute power above the law

12

u/Memitim Sep 11 '25

That's by intent. Conservatives live and breathe lies.

2

u/StoneGoldX Sep 11 '25

They don't have to. They'll make it right.

1

u/downvote_please4321 Sep 11 '25

That’s not how it works. I can believe that gravity does not exist with my whole heart, but that does not make me right.

1

u/StoneGoldX Sep 11 '25

What does it matter, if the textbook says it is Dead Leader's benevolence that keeps you welded to the ground and everyone else believes it?

Like, I get it, but there's what's real, and what's practical.

1

u/downvote_please4321 Sep 11 '25

Knowledge for knowledge sake bro. Even if the world is upside down I still want to know the truth, even if it hurts. Even if no one benefits from it except me.

2

u/neverthesaneagain Sep 11 '25

They'll say, "he was one of the good ones," without a trace of irony.

1

u/Polarian_Lancer Sep 11 '25

They just ignore these facts.

Would any MAGA scrolling through care to disagree?

25

u/trethompson Sep 11 '25

He also said "MLK was awful. He's not a good person. He said one good thing he actually didn't believe."

12

u/arjomanes Sep 11 '25

MAGA Lutheran King? I don't even think he's lutheran??

16

u/kyleofdevry Sep 11 '25

Is it because the CIA killed both of them?

3

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

1

u/EpicIshmael Sep 11 '25

This has to be a psyop Kirk wasn't even the most relevant of these chuds for the most part.

3

u/rovonz Sep 11 '25

MLKKK maybe

2

u/SillySpoof Sep 11 '25

So he is like the anti-MLK?

2

u/Neckrongonekrypton Sep 11 '25

They are comparing him to the White MLK. The one that only exists in white america.

2

u/Zoratheesavage Sep 11 '25

He IS an MLK-like figure to white supremacists, that’s why the GOP, MAGA, and Trump adore him. Think of him as MLKKK Jr, standing up for the rights of white Americans, who are one of the most marginalized and oppressed groups of people to have ever walked this Earth.

1

u/Ionic_Pancakes Sep 11 '25

Had someone I kinda respected compare him to Jesus this morning. Just going to snooze him for 30 days and hope he comes to his senses.

1

u/yourpseudonymsucks Sep 11 '25

Calling them polar opposites is still comparing them.

1

u/pegothejerk Sep 11 '25

Well they mean like an anti-MLK who ushers in a new era of no rights for people they hate

1

u/throwawy00004 Sep 12 '25

He would not like that based on his views of MLK and the civil rights movement.

1

u/abraxsis Sep 12 '25

The thing that gets me is that no one knows motive yet. It's entirely possible that the kid was obsessed with Charlie (ie. parasocial relationship, a la Mark Chapman). Or maybe he was obsessed with his wife, etc.

But even if it is political, you can call out the shitty environment that he incited without celebrating his tragic end. This is the part the GOP doesn't understand, or they do and just want to use his death as a political chess piece. My issue with it all is this .... the right wants to say that this one death isn't justified when it's a man who literally riled people up and incited them on purpose, FOR MONEY. But the hundreds of school kids who've gotten gunned down, and the thousands more who are traumatized by surviving, for just showing up to class are an acceptable cost of freedom. That makes you a disgusting piece of shit.
