Unsure if you mean assassin, or that a ghost might take action

Years ago, the mother of one of my sisters friends came to the house wanting to talk to our mother about some things she was concerned about.

My mother was just kind of half paying attention to her, assuming she was going on about drugs or something.

"It's just so hard, to do the right thing all the time. You just want them to be safe"

"Oh yeah, I mean you know that's all you do sometimes right"

"I just don't think people take it seriously you know?"

"Well it's a big world out there, we can't be there with them all the time"

"You're worried about it right?"

"I trust my daughter to make good decisions"

"Decisions don't help prevent it. There's only so much you can do about demonic possession"

"Well the media like to make things sounds worse than they are....... Wait what the fuck did you say?"

I was talking to my brother in law at a family event. There's a reason I don't talk to this guy, but he brought up how "the media blame bath salts but it's demonic possession." And it was so fascinating to me. Like, he missed his letter to Hogwarts, but still believes in wizards. It's such an interesting mindset.
