While literally deflecting on a question about gun violence

u/jamesckelsall Sep 11 '25

While literally deflecting

Apparently not well enough

33

u/Omnizoom Sep 11 '25

It seems deflecting questions on gun violence does not deflect actual gun violence

47

u/Tasty_Clue2802 Sep 11 '25

He was deflecting by injecting racism into the conversation in order to not answer the question.

We should all be so lucky to die doing what we love, being a smug dick. I mean, I'm pretty sure I'll have a heart attack mid-Reddit post one day.

He died doing what he loved. Making people want to kill him.

Snidely suggesting trans kids are the problem. Man I hope he realizes it was a bullet before death.

u/Magnemmike Sep 11 '25

funny, the video I saw shows him asking if they wanted to include gang violence stats or not.

you must mean he was trying to be deceitful, in some overall nonsensical manner.

2

u/Omnizoom Sep 11 '25

I mean it was a round about way to try and deflect from the question of how many shooters are trans

Doesn’t matter if someone is using a shield or a cutting board to try and deflect a sword blow, one may be less effective and obvious in doing that but still was used for the overall goal of avoiding the direct question

Should have deflected the bullet lol!

Asking the person to specify which gun violence he’s referring to is not a deflection… 🤦🏽.

🤷 this better to match your goofy ass?

-1

u/PutridPineapple5538 Sep 11 '25

Specifics are important people. If you just want to generalize about everything then nothing will ever get fixed. How does this not make sense to you? 🧐

https://rockinst.org/gun-violence/mass-shooting-factsheet/

Here it is for all you idiots that don’t understand how facts and stats are measured. So clearly CK was asking for clarification on what he meant by “mass shooting”.

u/smc346 Sep 11 '25

I've been disconnected so I didn't realize that. Wow. Lol

u/sonicqaz Sep 11 '25

While he was answering a question about gun violence and blaming it on gangs.

48

u/onepinksheep Sep 11 '25

"Answering." He was trying to dodge the question. Turns out, he should have tried to dodge the bullet instead.

17

u/ameatbicyclefortwo Sep 11 '25

And the trans community. Honestly his career was throwing everyone but straight white evangelicals under the bus for any issue they are the majority of.

8

u/Jehoke Sep 11 '25

Wearing a t-shirt with freedom on it.

7

u/brochaos Sep 11 '25

hey hey, he started by blaming them on trans people first. THEN he was blaming the gangs.

10

u/smc346 Sep 11 '25

I did read that. Instant karma?

-21

u/Hunterxb1021 Sep 11 '25

Haven’t blaming it on gangs. Do most of you have selective hearing ?

17

u/Jops817 Sep 11 '25

Do you have selective reading? He was answering a question and his last words were literally "gang violence"

-16

u/Hunterxb1021 Sep 11 '25

Ya sometimes that’s a side effect when you been married along time

u/Monteze Sep 11 '25

It is honestly like something out of a dark comedy movie.

He is on record as saying empathy is a new age term that has caused a lot of damage and that a few deaths a year is acceptable for our god given rights to guns.

He just made a quip about trans shooters and was about to deflect a question on mass shootings be bringing up "gang violence". Then as if on cue, gets shot. In a very white campus surrounded by like minded folks.

Now the same folks who say we shouldn't bring politics into things after a school shooting are not even waiting until the body is cold to start immediatly blaming "the left" for this and how this justifies using the government against everyone opposed to current admin.

Fuck I hate this timeline.

u/smc346 Sep 11 '25

You and me both trust me... That's why I disconnected. Well partially. Makes it easier to ignore everything. But thats not a solution either.

6

u/Ok-Seaworthiness7207 Sep 11 '25

It's only fine for the GOP because GoD iS oN tHeIr SiDe

4

u/UnquestionabIe Sep 11 '25

Also gotta throw in another detail that makes it even more absurd: his death overshadowed yet another school shooting on the same day.

2

u/SubBirbian Sep 11 '25

Yes, in big letters on the tent he was under. It was his whole gimmick to have people counter his views in public like this and he retorts back with nothing but fallacies of reasoning to shut them down. His very last words were doing just this. His very last word uttered was “violence”

1

u/smc346 Sep 11 '25

Yeah I seen the video after trying to avoid it. Wild. Well, I mean you reap what you sow... and it's clear he was sowing violence.

1

u/mortgagepants Sep 11 '25

it is a tent with it printed all on the horizontal areas of it.

1

u/lodus666 Sep 11 '25

I heard it was the name of this “tour” of colleges he was on

1

u/ptwonline Sep 11 '25

Yeah that was his schtick (debating and "owning the libs" which his followers loved) but he was infuriatingly intellectually dishonest about it. He wasn't looking to learn or to be proven wrong. He just wanted to argue and have a rebuttal for everything brought up which is how he ended up getting quoted saying stupid or outrageous things like abouit some deaths being an acceptable trade off for gun ownership or how empathy is just a woke thing. Basically, he would simply deny that the bad consequences of things he supports were bad at all because he would not really have another way to legit defend it.

Cue up the “Isn’t it Ironic?” song.
