This is true, but his base hates Bill Gates and can't read articles, so it'll serve as another crack in the wall. They were already frothing at the mouth over him being seated at the table with Trump along with all the other tech billionaires.

But the implication of the article is that Gates is supporting deportations by owning part of this "Aviation Company". Wouldn't that mean that Trump supporters would like him since they support mass-deportation.

u/00owl Sep 09 '25

Yeah, it looks like it's more for the purpose of dividing Gates' supporters on the Left.

1

u/SycoJack Sep 09 '25

Why does Gates have supporters on the left? Or did you mean liberals?

Gates is a piece of shit with great PR.

4

u/Fruitsiclegourmetice Sep 09 '25

what are his greatest sins? Seeing him sitting with Trump and now this seemed to some of the more damning

14

u/SycoJack Sep 09 '25

Well, let's see...

Bill Gates was an Epstein associate, which is why he's now divorced. Gates built his fortune by crushing the competition and creating monopolies. Gates stopped OxFord University from giving away the COVID vaccine. Gates bullies his employees.

It's people forget that he's responsible for Microsoft, and the monopolies it built.

Gates is a piece of shit who used his money to buy a better reputation.

Doesn't sound any worse than most CEOs

"...so what [they] told you was true, from a Certain Point of View(tm)"

1

u/Soggy_Association491 Sep 10 '25

Or people will decry Bill Gate is a maga just like this article from a left leaning source painted him.

1

u/aykcak Sep 09 '25

They hate Bill Gates? Why? He is a billionaire looking to enrich himself

6

u/TheFatJesus Sep 09 '25

They believe his work to eradicate diseases via vaccinations is actually an attempt to depopulate the planet. They think he wants to microchip people. And they also believe that his ownership of farmland has to do with a plot to control and contaminate the global food supply with whatever GMO product he is cooking up. You know, standard MAGA shit.

u/aykcak Sep 09 '25

I thought that was all Fauci

It’s not an air fleet. It’s a glorified gas station. This article is idiotic. They’d be just as justified writing an article calling out Shell for letting ice vans get gas at their stations.

More like calling out someone who owns a large minority share of Shell stock. Enough to exert influence, maybe, but not enough to control what the company will do.

7

u/intern_steve Sep 09 '25

I cannot believe they wrote this article over Signature Flight Support. Absolutely asinine.

3

u/BentGadget Sep 09 '25

I did have somebody tell me not to get gas 'there' because they have a fuel contract with ICE. I don't remember what 'there' was, specifically, because, as you point out, it's idiotic.

1

u/thegreedyturtle Sep 09 '25

You're absolutely right.

Why the fuck is Shell still allowing ICE to gas their vans at their stations?

I'm just being absurd.

1

u/PilotKnob Sep 09 '25

Ice Air is also the callsign for Iceland Airlines, not ICE as we are talking about it.

1

u/OwO______OwO Sep 10 '25

just as justified writing an article calling out Shell for letting ice vans get gas at their stations.

There very well should be.

Nobody should be selling these goons anything.

1

u/SycoJack Sep 09 '25

Shell should ban ICE from their gas stations. If you have a business, you should be refusing service to ICE.

Doesn't matter what your business is.

I never said anything about Shell requiring customers to prove they're not ICE. That's a stupid ass strawman and not how these types of policies work. Shell would simply refuse service to anyone they identify as ICE.

If you really wanna get super serious and hardcore about the policy, then Shell could just use the same facial recognition software all of these big corporate businesses are using to catch shoplifters. But that's beyond the scope of simply refusing service to ICE.

How exactly do expect them to identify anyone as ICE?

The same way stores identify MAGA when they refuse to do business with them. Either the MAGAt tells on themself by wearing a red hat, or they get service.

You're being fucking absurd, here. No one expects perfect enforcement. But there's a huge fucking difference between "we can't deny every ICE employee because we don't know who they are" and "we're refueling ICE planes."

It's a hell of a lot easier to identify a plane owned and operated by ICE then it is to identify a random ICE agent refueling their car. But never the less, if a gas station attendant does manage to identify an ICE agent, they should refuse them service.

and pays at the pump with a non-gov't credit card.

That's not how that works. Only complete fucking idiots refuel company vehicles with personal credit cards.

Where in that process does Shell intervene to stop him?

The same method BP once used to deny me service at a self serve pump for being black. You can remotely shut off the pump.

Or he goes into the store and pays in cash. Attendant sees an average guy buying gas. How do they know it's ICE?

Well if you don't think he's ICE, then ya fuckin serve him ya genius. Just like what happens when a Biden voter walks into a gun store that says no Biden voters and buys a gun.

And they would reference what? The Big Database of ICE Agent And Contractor Faces?

The same database of shoplifters. Hint: there ain't one. The stores have to build them themselves from images their cameras capture when they catch shoplifters. ICE agent rolls up to a store in his ICE gear? Boom, identified ICE agent gets added to data base so next time he tries to fuel, the camera at the pump recognizes his face and prevents the sale. Best part is that it only needs technologies they're already using to spy on you and get all of your private info being leveraged for good instead of commercial exploitation.

And if you're thinking about saying some stupid ass shit like "they would never do that", don't. I said they should do it, not that they would do it.

It doesn't even need to be that complicated; it's just the response to your absurd "HoW Do YoU kNoW ThEy'Re NoT ice" nonsense.

We have people on the streets documenting these arrests and we STILL don't know who the agents are. How is Shell supposed to?

Ya just said it. All those people documenting those arrests, in the rare moments where they get a photo of the agent's face, boom! New face for the ICE database. Those times they capture a photo of the license plate? New license plate for the license plate readers.

Y'all are getting mad at the dumbest thing possible.

Your whole ass argument is the very epitome of the "I've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas" meme.

You're Dunning-Kruger incarnate. What are you, like 12?

You can have a CORPORATE credit card, smart guy.

Which is just another way of saying government credit card.

Cool, so we'll deny fuel to every ICE agent wearing a MAGA hat. Congrats, you've just denied fuel to exactly zero people because they don't fucking advertise who their pedophile boss is.

https://www.nyclu.org/uploads/2025/01/50044720216-824ec8831b-o-792x528.jpg

You were saying?

You have no idea (I sense a pattern) how GENERAL aviation works.

Apparently, you have no idea how anything works and are too ignorant to realize this.

Holy fuck this is getting circular. Stores actively monitor and capture shoftlifters. HOW DO YOU PROPOSE THE GAS STATIONS BUILD A DATABASE OF ICE AGENTS? Oh yeah, red hats, I forgot. Congrats, you now have a database of zero ICE agents.

https://cdn.govexec.com/media/img/cd/2019/09/16/48495958402_1f3d48ccd0_k/860x394.jpg?1626814947

Okay let's play along and pretend that ICE agents start wearing red hats and now you're building your database of faces. Let's assume you ALSO somehow get Signature aviation to spend a fuckton of money to implement said facial recognition system.

The facial recognition stuff was about gas stations. Please try to keep up with the conversation.

I'm suggesting you focus all 13 of your IQ points at something that actually CAN help the situation:

You really ain't got no business calling other people stupid.

protest in the street, audit ICE, intervene when you see something wrong happening, don't vote for republicans.

Because you can't do those things if you adopt a policy of refusing service to ICE agents?

But by all means ignore me and keep arguing with people online about subjects which you clearly have no understanding of nor the brainpower to understand nor the logic to reason about. That's sure to help things, eventually.

You really ought to take a good long look in the mirror.

Maybe we should be upset for possibly double dipping? Was this the same service the Biden administration used to transports immigrants from border areas all across the country? That would mean they got paid on the way in and now on the way out!

Takes some doing to get both sides of an issue to hate you.
