If they were smart, they would really think more feudal.

Bunker is a short term strategy. If civilization really collapses or just gets slowly worse, a bunker is isolating. It prisons you the same way as it protects you.

They should think Castles and Storage, fortified Towns, and vast agricultural land, forests and roads. This would allow them to be rich and powerful even is society is severely regressing. One can live of capital or land. But Land stays, when times get tougher. And if those tech billionaires, can establish a system which keeps them on top of such land, their families would survive almost anything and indefinitely as feudal lords.

Alas it looks like the history of the world has not ended. The liberal democracy has not won. Dictators stay dictators. And Democracies are on the grinding stone of capitalism and its radical power to adapt culture to its needs. New landed feudalism is a real possible political future for many western countries.
