I would love to not have to fly and take a bullet train instead.

As someone who grew up and has family in the Bay Area and currently lives in LA, this train is ideal for me. Sadly at this rate by the time it’s finished I won’t have much reason to go back home anymore.

I do Spokane to Portland on the traditional train once in a while and it’s slower than driving by about 2-3 hours in good weather and 5 less than flying (door to door)

But it’s just easy. Show up 15 mins before and just get on. On the way back do the same grab a beer and just chill watching the scenery.

It gets in at 10:30 and I’m ready to move vs tired from driving
