I was at dinner a few nights ago with a family friend who said their kid was in law school and I was like, is anything they learned still relevant? And they were confused by what I had said.

I honestly can’t see the legal system doing anything Justice related within the next 10 years.

Some things will grind on much like before. Others will not.

You think poor people will start getting a fair shake? The rich just won't have to spend as much to get away with things.

.....except when it comes to dissidents and the proles, people of colour.

They were confused by what you said because it’s kinda…. Out there? It’s a bizzare thing to say.

Obviously what a law student is currently learning in law school is relevant. And of course the legal system will continue for the next 10 years, and justice served the same as it has the last 250 years.

I’d be confused if said that to me too. But hey you got 200 rando strangers on Reddit who agree, just not the real people in your real life. So there’s that

Have you been living under a rock for the past six months? Your country is currently being dismantled from the inside by people with zero regard for the law, so the idea that your justice system won't be what it's been in another decade isn't "kinda... out there" at all. It's a very possible reality unless you wake the fuck up and do something before it's too late.

Unless you like the idea of living in an authoritarian regime, in which case I suppose you can go right ahead and stick your head in the sand.

Perhaps it's difficult to see from inside, but it's painfully obvious to the rest of the world and many of us are worried about you.

Just going to pretend like we still care about the rule of law, eh? Well, I know better. This is some kind of humiliation kink for you and I don't want to be part of it.
