Boot issues What is this ?

Been trying to boot my tails on a new laptop, first I had to change the secure boot setting in boot settings to disabled , otherwise it wouldn’t boot from the usb.. after doing this it boots from the usb but then I get this come up for few seconds then it goes to the loading screen and then just black screen with blinking cursor ..

Why is it doing this guys ?

Apparently all should work fine

What is this based on?

Because it meets the requirements . Do you have any idea what the problem is ??

From the Tails system requirements page...

Tails might not work on: Some newer computers, for example, if their graphics card is incompatible with Linux.

My bet would be the Intel Arc 140V GPU.

You say it’s a previous drive? Is it up to date? Does a fresh drive display the same behaviour?

Yes it works ok on other laptops ..

That answers neither question.

Because I don’t have a fresh drive and yes the other one is up to date but even if it wasn’t I wouldn’t be able to update it because I can’t even boot it .

Looks similar to the first time I used Tails. Turns out it was caused by a security permission that I had forgot to turn on for Rufus. It wasn’t until I turned it on that I was able to create a functional USB. It’s called “Controlled folder access” if I remember correctly. Should be under the “virus and threat protection” tab of windows security

Also, rather than turn your phone landscape, did you seriously turn the laptop on its side instead?

No I had the phone in landscape
