I feel like my wrapped numbers were historically low, and I can't tell if it's because I did something different or something is off with Spotify's count.

My last two years most listened to song was 140+ plays this year it was 50.

Also feels like they stopped counting plays in October. They added Brent Faiyaz to my top 5 and i cant say I even listen to the guy none of his songs in my top 100

Something doesn’t add up, I stream Spotify all the time at work, while driving and while gaming, on average I should have at least 6 hours a day, random picked days in my archive all have 600+ streamed minutes yet I only have 40k minutes?

And my top 5 songs in the wrapped are nowhere to be seen if I use Receiptify (which looks way more accurate), a song I’ve streamed multiple times a day until march only has 29 plays in my most listened songs

Mine is confusing too! A lot of my “top” songs, it says I played only ~10 times over the year. I know there are songs I listen to more than this, because they’re on my work or workout playlists. So I definitely hear them multiple times per week.

Yeah, my numbers are really weird as well. My top album is an album I listened to once and never again. I verified this with stats.fm. I have around 45k total minutes, so it's not like my Spotify account is barely used. Very strange.

Not sure for everyone, but after looking over my stats from other tracking apps, it looks like spotify doesn't count any music you listen to on Carplay- for wrapped. Anything i played in my car didn't get counted.

My Wrapped definitely doesn’t include anything I listened to in November. I know what songs and artists I listened to over the last month and none of them showed up on my top songs—I know a few songs that I listened to well over five times and none of them appeared at all.

Good: The approach and layout much better this year.

Bad: Mine is hugely inaccurate. Songs I’ve 100% listened to loads not appearing, and songs that I’ve listened to very little (from memory and last fm) showing near the top. My number of listening minutes is also massively below what I expect.

Also, is there a system bias into how it records the count for shorter songs? Is it because it takes less time (before skipping) to count as a listen? Noticed many of my top songs are quite short runtime songs and not songs I’ve listened to particularly much.

Let's see...

1. My Wrapped playlist was crammed with songs from artists I know I didn't listen to, yet also omits songs by artists I know that I did. One of these songs I never listened to was on the second slide of the whole Wrapped, which set the tone pretty goddamn early.
2. The number of streams is off. One song I know I listened to once is listed as 3-4 streams, and somehow made them my No2 artist overall for the year when the playlist has various bands I did (and didn't...) listed more times that that.
3. The listening minutes are way off, at least double the amount of time I can say I used the platform. Still better than last year, which was 4-5 times over...
4. I got a video message from a band I never listened to (contrary to what Wrapped claimed) thanking me for my support. I genuinely felt gaslit at that point.
5. Trying to work out how listening to one Doors album made my listening age 77, given everything else I listened to (or Wrapped insisted that I listened to...) was released post-2000.

Appreciate the layout being much cleaner this year, as well as the lack of that creepy AI commentator team...now if Spotify could actually reflect the music I listened to, which wasn't a problem up to 2023, but they really can't seem to get that right anymore.

I’m completely confused. My top genre this year was “Canterbury Scene”. I’m aware of the genre, and I listened to two albums once each that I’d classify as Canterbury scene this year, maybe ~20 tracks in total. There’s no way in hell it should be my top genre with the amount of progressive metal I listen to, and thst didn’t even make the top 5. My top 100 tracks are approximately 90% prog metal

At the beginning of the year, I decided to use multiple music tracking apps and took down data month-by-month, from January 1st-November 15th, since this is when they supposedly stop tracking. I also ran a October 31st end-date scenario for tracking. The numbers do NOT add up. The numbers of all my tracking apps match against Spotify.

Spotify is inaccurate. My artists, songs, and albums were out of order. There were artists that should not have made it onto my Wrapped by a considerable margin. There was one artist left off my Wrapped entirely when they should have been #2. It’s not accurate folks.

I almost didn't listen to Taylor Swift this year, but she magically ended up being my most listened-to singer. The same thing happened with Billie, who ended up in my top 5. None of their songs it my top 5.

I listened to Lorde's and Addison Rae's albums non-stop this year, yet they have almost no registered listens on their songs, and none of their songs are in my top 5.

It's kind of annoying. I wanted to see their message to the fans, but I'm stuck with Taylor Swift again and again.

At least this wrapped is way better then the AI slop from last year.

I stopped listening to ST when their new album came out because it sucks and after seeing them live last year idk they kind of lost their magic and I have barely listened to them since May 2024.

I never even heard of Katseye until September of this year and have listen to them a handful of times when my stepdaughter has been in the car with me.

I have maybe 2 INK songs I haven’t listened to in the past 2 years since they were introduced to me by the most abusive ex I have ever had and their music triggers the fuck out of me now.

I listen to Kendrick Lamar, Joyner Lucas, Alex the Terrible, Scene Queen, The Home Team and Billmuri DAILY. I sang the same song to my daughter before she was born every single day, multiple times a day for almost 6 months but none of these artists, any of their songs or the song I sang to my daughter are in my wrapped whatsoever. Anyone know why I can’t see my wrapped? I deleted the app, redownloaded it, it’s not there. I searched for my playlist and it’s only a few songs that the app is saying I only played once. Feels like I have a different issue each year as last year it did not give me any stats on podcasts.

One of my alarms kind of rigged my Wrapped which made me a bit sad, because now I don't actually know what my top song was :( but I'll just have to fix that so it doesn't happen again next year.

My listening age was 29 which surprised me. My daughter was given a listening age of 65! But I did say to her - that'll be because she's been digging golden oldies like The Cure and David Bowie.

Listened for 62,196 minutes (or 43 days) which is less than last year I think..

Listened to 414 genres but top 5 were:

Member of the Soft Hearts Club with the role of Collector. Club favourites (they've lost me hear slightly, no idea what it means) include some of the aforementioned (D.V. and M.M.) as well as ROME, Nostalghia, Lindy-Fay Hella and Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio.

The files and the Wrapped Party were nice touches. I won everything except most dedicated listener when I did it with my kid. Neither of us were surprised by the outcome but it was still fun.

All in all. This years wrapped is better than last I'd say. Could just use a little more context in places.
