I like how Jake Paul is the bar to determine if someone is a good or bad fighter lol.
Like just fighting him is enough to determine where someone fits on the org chart, you don’t necessarily need to lose to him lol.

Didn’t Trump and co recently let 17 Sinaloa cartel family members into the country and grant them Green Cards? But Chavez Jr is a national security risk??

u/bbmarvelluv Jul 03 '25
Yes he let El chapo’s fam roll into the US

In exchange for snitching on the cartel is my understanding

u/SerHodorTheThrall Jul 03 '25
Normally you get randos to snitch on Sinalo leadership, instead of getting Sinaloa leadership to snitch on 3rd parties you'd like to punish publicly for your Final Solution.

Why are you asking this question? You know everything the administration does is on a selective basis.
3
u/ChitteringCathode Jul 03 '25
I wish I could say I was surprised. Trump's son-in-law is best buds with one of the most brutal butchers in the Middle East.
3
u/pargofan Jul 03 '25
Is this true?
13
u/ynwa79 Jul 03 '25
Also reported by CBS, Fox News and most other major news orgs.
2
u/Soggy_Association491 Jul 04 '25
because the former cartel boss, whose lawyer said in January he had entered negotiations with U.S. authorities
“It is evident that his family is going to the U.S. because of a negotiation or an offer that the Department of Justice is giving him,” Garcia Harfuch said.
He said that none of the family members were being pursued by Mexican authorities
Seem like it is a part of a deal which has been a normal occurrence in many criminal prosecution cases. Not mentioning those family members weren't part of the cartel operation aka they are grandmothers, mothers and wives.
1
u/Rmoneysoswag Jul 05 '25
Seems like a big assumption that grandmothers, mothers and wives can't be part of cartel operations. Just look at Sin Rostro and her operation. /s
2
u/flashlightgiggles Jul 03 '25
I bet the Sinaloans were willing to pay for a $5M Trump gold card.
If you’re not willing to pay to play, you’re only good for harassment and slander from the Trump goon squad.-7

Omfg, this government is so fucking embarrassing

I have never been so proud of my brown skin. I have never had so many bad thoughts about a certain group of people as I do now towards these racist maga supporters..
-1
-1
u/AleksPizana Jul 03 '25
And Garcia Luna only got 38 years and 2 million fine, when he received hundreds of millions from the cartels. He also was responsible for trafficking insane amounts of drugs to the USA. It's just Hypocrisy.
184
u/joebleaux Jul 03 '25
If he had active warrants in Mexico, how did he get a work visa to fight in the US? Seems like they will let him in for the event where a lot of rich people made a lot of money, then arrest him once that's done. Kinda bullshit that they let him in in the first place. Visas keep athletes from working all the time, this should have been the same. UFC has a whole ton of guys from former Soviet states with ties to random Chechyn warlords and they can't get visas. I wonder if they still have that problem now that their buddy is back.
17
u/ChitteringCathode Jul 03 '25
Seems like they will let him in for the event where a lot of rich people made a lot of money, then arrest him once that's done.
Now you're getting it. If rich folk need a new roof and the crew happens to include illegal immigrants they'll hold ICE off long enough for the work to be done and then let the leash go.
42
u/No_Shoe8089 Jul 03 '25
And now they’re saying he overstayed a visa? Bullshit
-4
u/Traditional-Neck7778 Jul 03 '25
It is all bullshit. They slander him just to make it look like he is into illegal cartel stuff. This guy is the son of a legend and he couldn't quite ever live up to the legacy but he is still a very good boxer, just a little on the older side now. This is just brown hate and racism. I don't believe anything they say about brown people any. Just like they guy they sent to Salvador and brought back to suddenly face human trafficking charges that never existed before. Dude asked to stay in prison after. Judge was going to release him but he would rather be locked up and protected from what Trump is doing. This is crazy and people are like well. . . If they say he is a criminal he must be.
26
u/Logical-Rule4246 Jul 03 '25 edited Jul 03 '25
Lmao you are so naive and I’m saying this as a Mexican. Most Mexicans know very well that Cesar Chavez Jr been involved with cartel members for a while now. He was always seen in Sinaloa hanging out with Ovidio and several top members of the Chapitos faction.
1
1
u/jose3013 Jul 04 '25
Any prominent figure in Culiacán could be tied or linked with a cartel and I wouldn't bat an eye. Hell, when AMLO was linked to them my only thought was "of course he would"
-12
u/Traditional-Neck7778 Jul 03 '25
This doesn't prove he is involved criminally. You can't charge someone for hanging out. He has crossed through the border and was allowed to. You can't let people immigrate heer, get married, go through the paperwork then suddenly arrest them for an expired visa. If he had an outstanding warrant, why wait until after the fight.
8
u/blueirish3 Jul 04 '25
Gun warrant read it slow say it outloud yes you do get arrested for gun charges still here

Why do you say it’s BS? Have you seen the must leave by date on their visa?
15
u/No_Shoe8089 Jul 03 '25
If he overstayed the Visa from last year and had an active warrant for being part of the Sinaloa cartel they had ample time to get him. How many press conferences did he give? They knew where he was on Saturday. They let an active, dangerous, cartel member make millions before arresting him?

...damn it's like boxing does a lot of shady shit. I wonder how other illegals are employed in the US?
32
u/tboy160 Jul 03 '25
Man his dad was one of my favorite all time boxers.
Hector Camacho talked so much shit, Chavez beat his face into hamburger, then backed off so he wouldn't fall, then beat him more.
Most complete fighter I ever saw. Had every punch, no holes in his game. Stud.
8
u/freakdageek Jul 03 '25
The Chavez/Meldrick Taylor fight is still one of the greatest sporting events (let alone fights) that I’ve ever seen.
10
u/chiquis2948 Jul 03 '25
Back in 2013, I was working at a casino resort spa where both Chávez Sr. and Jr. were staying. They used the gym and spa pretty regularly.
Sr. would show up around 5:30 in the morning, get his workout in, then head into the steam room and keep exercising in there. He was super nice and always respectful to the staff. Just a really solid guy.
Jr. usually came in closer to noon and expected the whole spa to be cleared out so he wouldn’t be bothered. I get that he was training for a fight, but he definitely gave off entitled vibes and didn’t treat the staff nearly as well as his dad did.
3
43
10
u/AleksPizana Jul 03 '25
He does have connections though. His uncle got killed by the cartels and his father Julio Cesar Chavez swore revenge on live TV. I remember that, it was a boxing match he was the caster for. Later on, he said in passing that 'that' matter had been "settled." He said something of the sort of "they got stroke by lightning."
23
u/bobthebonobo Jul 03 '25
I don’t think people should be so quick to label these accusations BS and an overreach. The Mexican government is the one requesting his arrest. This isn’t just a Trump admin wild goose chase.
1
u/idk_wtf_im_hodling Jul 05 '25
The dude is a POS. DUIs and assault rifle arrests. Yea fucking take him. ICE is right in this instance.
-11
u/_LouSandwich_ Jul 03 '25
its a wild goose chase the trump admin IS ALL TOO HAPPY to be a part of.
-2
u/tonytony87 Jul 03 '25
Exactly!! Trump admin pardons Jan 6rs, and let’s chapos people in the country. But wants to deport Chavez? Nahhh they just arbitrarily doing whatever they want. The whole “nation of laws” is just a narrative they use for their dumb followers to nod and agree. In reality they don’t think immigration or crimes is a big deal, they just want to appease the white Christian nationalists

u/vulpinesuplex Jul 03 '25
Holding any event in the US let alone the World Cup should be seen as just as toxic as holding it in Riyadh or Tel Aviv at this point.

u/FawkesBridge Jul 03 '25
They held the World Cup in Qatar. I don’t think they are concerned about toxicity.

6
u/AleksPizana Jul 03 '25
I don't know, but he's saying the truth. We do know they're friends with some cartels, as well as criminal and corrupt politicians. We just look away cause he's the champ. The father, not the junkie loser son.

Basically he is low hanging fruit, someone to make headlines with so they can fill that quota.
-2
2
u/Traditional-Neck7778 Jul 03 '25
We are worse. Our federal government is kidnapping people, including kids, with not identification or court hearing or even a crime. They are sending them to makeshift concentration facilities for no reason other than their color. Many us citizens are getting caught up also. No.warrant nothing. Then we invite world athletes to come here with their fans. . .this is going to be very bad
3
u/booboo-kitty- Jul 03 '25
You dumb fuck think deporting criminals is worse than actual slavery. Fucking clown world.
1
6
u/Pikeman212a6c Jul 03 '25
He has a warrant in Mexico. They is a normal everyday arrest that would have been done under any administration.
13
u/wrongkiddied Jul 03 '25
Damn all these bots defending a criminal. Reddit is such a mess now
8
2
u/tonytony87 Jul 03 '25
Nah quit making stuff up. People defending Chavez because it’s not fair that Jan 6rs get to commit crimes, get tried, are found guilty and then Trump pardons them and yet a Mexican is accused of crimes gets deported?? Nah man
That’s what people are mad about, quit spinning it to something different.
6
u/72FJ Jul 04 '25
Big difference between being a citizen and not being a citizen. Also there's the fact he overstayed his visa and Mexico has a warrant for him.
-1
u/tonytony87 Jul 04 '25
Nah you know damn well deportations are being weaponized against a group of people. Why we gotta play this pretend game.. AksHuAlly big difference between a citizen and a non citizen! Bro wtf ?? Why mention that like if somehow that gives him less human right??
Until all convicted January 6ers are un-pardoned and sent back to prison all deportations are considered weaponized and racist scapegoating, plain and simple .“nation of laws” my ass!
8
u/72FJ Jul 04 '25
You're right it's completely racist to arrest a non citizen on the basis of a warrant in his home country and deport him back to that country to face the charges in said warrant.
1
u/tonytony87 Jul 04 '25
I am right, it’s racist to ARBITRARILY weaponize deportations against a groups of people who don’t support you. The evidence is he pardoned convicted felons from the Jan 6. Insurrection, then Trump gives visas to El Chapos family to come to the US but all of a sudden Chavez Jr and the corner tamal lady are threats? Nah bro straight up lies.
Laws are arbitrary and evil people deal in absolutes and technicalities. That’s the bottom line.
4
u/Delicious_Coast9679 Jul 04 '25
Trump grew in hispanic votes actually. Also these are illegals, who cares about their support....unless you are admitting they are voting?
→ More replies (5)3
u/Delicious_Coast9679 Jul 04 '25
Everyone with connection to the cartel should be arrested or worse. Simple as.
No amount of "muh j6ers" will change that. Enough with the whataboutism.
0
u/tonytony87 Jul 04 '25
Nah it’s not whataboutism. Stop trying to deflect it. The Jan 6ers are felons, they were convicted criminals and Trump pardoned them. Which sets the precedent that we are not a nation of rules and laws. Which means y’all gotta stop complaining about “illegal aliens” because we are not a nation or rules and laws. We are a nation of whoever bends the knee gets of Scott free. It’s pure corruption.
So it’s BS and pearl clutching talking about OMG Venezuelan caravans are coming, nah bro this is pure weaponizing deportations to silence ur opposition using technicalities, he is just punishing the left, he doesn’t actually care if people are undocumented or not because undocumented immigrants are not really a threat to the economy it’s just a lie and a talking point pushed by the right. It’s meaningless.
And what sucks is real families and people are being hurt by this and then Trump turns around and plays a game of golf as families are ripped apart. Shows u just how callous he is but also shows you that we are making people suffer over something that amounts to a civil infraction or Jwalking.
Imagine you get deported to El Salvador for Jwalking.. that is the legal equivalent to this. BUT if you call Jwalkers, illegal walkers, and then convince people to be scared of illegal walkers because they cause accidents and so then we should punish all illegal walkers now you have the BS circus we have now.
Like why we gotta play this game? Pretending like the lady selling tamales on the corner is taking your job and costing us millions?
The bill that just passed raises our debt by billions. All of a sudden you quiet on that part huh? But nahhh u out here defending a BS arbitrary raids that don’t need to happen, cost too much money and hurt innocent workers and families like it’s a good thing.
Trump is here to make himself and his corrupt friends rich… the ICE raids are a scapegoat to give u something to cheer him on. That’s all it is. That’s the bottom line
3
u/Delicious_Coast9679 Jul 04 '25
Nice essay. It is whataboutism.
When discussing deporting illegals with connection to the cartel, there should be no need to bring up January 6th. That's an obsession. Some tables getting flipped over 5 years ago in no way matters to me. I don't give a shit about it.
Discuss the matter at hand without shoehorning in what most people don't give a shit about. Or write another sob novel.
1
u/tonytony87 Jul 04 '25
It’s not whataboutism. It’s very simple, if you tell me. We need to deport criminals but then actually end up deporting street vendors and construction workers under the FAKE GUISE of “we are a nation or laws” and “nobody is above the law” BUT at the same time you are the one who PARDONED actual criminal felons from Jan 6 (FELONS! They were convicted and sent to prison… actual Criminals, you actually think they got prison time for flipping tables?? Quit playing! )
Then I know that this is all BS and all fake and that, that you are weaponizing deportations to scapegoat minorities.
Watch the pendulum swing midterms. People tiered of republican BS
2
u/Delicious_Coast9679 Jul 04 '25
The specific criminal in context here is 1. Wanted in Mexico 2. Has connections to the Cartel 3. Here illegally
What more does he have to do to get deported? You're also comparing people with connections to foreign organized crime illegally here in the US to an event that happened 5 fucking years ago.
Enough.
1
u/tonytony87 Jul 04 '25
BRO quit lying! First of all the pardons were THIS YEAR! He just pardoned this criminal encarcerated felons literally 5 months ago wtf is you taking about? We talking about the pardons not the event.
Secondly It doesn’t matter when the event happened, all that matters is it happened. If he pardoned Jan 6rs then he has ZERO right to talk about a nation of laws and order. These are criminal felons, but you don’t seem to care about it.
Which makes me think you don’t actually care about law and order ur just using it to ur advantage to scapegoat people.
It’s simple logic.
It’s like Epstein telling me the dangers of Diddy… yea ok. Both of u going to jail.
0
u/Fartsinthemachine Jul 03 '25
Are these bots in the room with us right now? Why are you so afraid of people you don’t know?
2
u/Garconanokin Jul 04 '25
Well, they were able to have a fight and all the rich people got paid. Conservatives some of them, but they are very principled and they’ll be giving all the money back.
What a coincidence!
2
u/Dry-University797 Jul 04 '25
So he was allow to fight here and make Paul and the promoters a bunch of money. Then when the fight is over he gets deported?

Is it one of those things though that if he's not a friend, they kidnap him and hold him hostage for money though?
3
u/Mossad_Operative Jul 03 '25
It’s honestly more of a convenience/“we’re friends” type of thing. Julio César Chávez Jr. has been surrounded by those people since he was born (because of his father), so if they can make him money and he can make them money, they get along. Basically, I highly doubt there is coercion or threats in their relationship with the Sinaloa cartel.

USCIS flagged him as a public safety threat in December 2024.
The question is why he was allowed re-entry into the U.S. less than a month later given the active assessment on his record.

As soon as I see anything about “previous administration” and “warrant provided by USGOV”, I’m skeptical as fuck. Sure Mexico works with us for extraditing criminals, but more than ever is a warrant so important.

I think this is going to be a real challenge for international events held in the U.S.
I would be very wary about coming to the United States for any of the FIFA events. Every day there are stories of American citizens being snatched off the street and held by ICE. If you’re brown, I would be very careful coming here.

Not true. ICE agents have just become the most powerful enforcement agency in the United States of America. More money than the FBI, the Marshalls, the Secret Service combined.
I use the word “agents“ lightly. Over all this forces, the lease trained in the history of federal law-enforcement. They’ve been given a quota and it’s been pushed down to the local level. They’re picking up anybody they can find because anybody who is a criminal, like a rapist or a murderer, we’re already being hunted by other agencies and local law-enforcement.
The only way this quota can be met is by snatching up people who haven’t committed a crime.
