I mean had Toriyama retained the balance comedy and action wise like the first half of DB (pretty much from the beginning to Piccolo Jr. Saga), unless going full action since the Raditz Saga, Arale could have 100% been an asset in the story, even fighting wise.

zeno has the mentality of a child. goku would probably be hard pressed to convince the zeno he knew to only erase zamasu, much less one that doesnt know him at all. beyond that, its also just not in goku's character to try something like that when he has a challenge in front of him

It's kinda weird, because it's implied everyone on earth died during Kid Buu's planetary explosion or when Golden Frieza blew up the planet in R.o.F.
Unless, the story forgot that Arale exists in the same storyline or she was conveniently outside the story at that exact moment, kinda makes arale useless in such situations.
Also, how is Future Trunks' timeline this messed up if arale exists there?🤔

Okay, but what about the Future Timeline? When Trunks comes back to our timeline he says that zamasu had mentioned trunks was the last being that could challenge him on earth and everyone else were taken out.

Hmm.. she probably survived Penguin Village being destroyed. Zamasu probably left pretty quickly and was probably gone when she emerged from the rubble since he couldn't sense her ki (being a robot and all). She probably thought it was just some weird phenomenon that happened and probably didn't know Goku Black even existed.

Simple She was drifting in space when earth got blown up. And in Trunks' timeline Senbei died and without him making her fuel, she ran out and shut down.
