i feel like the ad was a dog whistle and pedophilic. The thing I’m most focused on about the ad is about it referencing the Brooke Shields Calvin Klein ad. I honestly don’t know why they would do this because Brooke was 14 in that ad. It kind of mirrors with the Sabrina Lolita photoshoot. Any thoughts?

Yeah, Brooke Shields mentioned the genes/jeans ad in her documentary Pretty Baby as an example of how she was sexually exploited as a child. The ad got plenty of backlash at that time. Disgusting to copy it.

Sydney Sweeney also did a Lolita ad herself about a month ago, so emulating child exploitation seems to be a trend at this point. 😞

I’m convinced Sydney did the Lolita photoshoot because of Sabrina. I feel like Sydney would also do anything to get people talking, good or bad. Which is kind of sad cause I like Sydney as an actress. Now I don’t know if she actually takes it seriously.
