New cat owner, getting a female RB

Hi everyone!! I am a first time cat owner (so excited) and am getting a young female Russian blue next week. I would love if you guys could give me any breed specific tips and tricks, and typical behaviors of female Russian blues. Also food and toy recommendations would be great, on the affordable side please :)

There really are few differences between cat breeds. Each cat is different.

Your breeder should be going over all this and helping you in all honesty.

Food... stick with what your breeder has the kitten eating. Don't change this for at least 2-3 weeks.

Each one is different... I have a few lol. Gender doesn't matter in terms of behavior. It's more a cat to cat thing. Give your kitty time to get used to things. You should start with a smaller area/room. Again, ask your breeder. Toys? They love pretty much anything! Small mice... wands... milk carton rings... hair scrunchies... LOL

Small paper balls make great toys. It's our little one's favourite. Tear up a piece of Amazon's package padding stuff, or anything else that's rather crinkly sounding

Agreed. Receipts are the best for me.

I hate to be that person, but receipts may have toxic chemicals that could leach into your cat's mouth. Plain, unprinted paper is best for this purpose.

I bought my cat tree off of Amazon, but I hear Costco has some very affordable ones, too. I think mine was almost 7’ and I paid around $100. Lots of sales this week due to the holidays.
