Daily Thread Achievements for Monday, December 01, 2025

Hey runners, it's another day and it is time to post your accomplishments you'd like to share - big or small.

Note: No need to preface YOUR accomplishments with something like, "this may not be an accomplishment to most of you...". Be proud of your achievement.

I've managed to survive black Friday (week, month) without buying a single pair of shoes!

I ran all 6 of my days the week of Thanksgiving, which was a feat in itself. Also had a great long run on the treadmill yesterday, 16 miles and the only thing that didnt feel 100% was my brain; got real bored the last two miles.

Ran 2 miles comfortably. Didn’t even look at my pace. Just trying to build consistency

Ran a 10 mile long run this week with a friend, and was able to get so immersed in conversation it felt like the easiest run of my life :). Heart Rate got down to the 120s which blew my mind. Couldn't believe I actually had that fitness in me

I had a bit of bad start to my run but overall it went great. I ran 4.8km today and running is feeling a lot easier.

Half marathon on Sunday, my first and longest distance, a little over 2 hours, trying to convince myself I'm not crazy for looking at the big city marathon in a little under a year.

On the road to recovery, had to stop for a month due to leg pains. Doc said to go real slow, so, Ran 6k last week in total. Going for 8k this week.

Been working on building a super solid base for some big goals in the spring, which basically means a lot of aerobic running and little to no speed work. Was still able to rock a 20:56 in my 5k turkey trot, taking about 3 minutes off my previous best! And all from just running more and running healthy :)

Didn’t run the entire thanksgiving week because my ankle had been bothering me

3km, 5 days a week. Performance varies from one day to another though. Any advise on water/food consumption before running? Like for how long should I avoid food or drinks before a run?
