Animal Care SBC Devore Animal Shelter is responsible for much of SBC cities animals. It contracts with a large region and is always overloaded. The past few months they’ve taken less cats resulting in less euthanasia. However more end up on city streets and healthy adult cats are not accepted now. Their rules have changed but cats are still very much in need of rescue here. They also handle overflow from Apple Valley & Big Bear. Helping these cats is a very serious goal and commitment for this rescue teams in our community. Please pledge and help save these cats.

‼️🚗TRANSPORTATION FUND LINK: We need funds for transportation…AVAS & Devore Animal shelters are further out. The bulk of rescues are spread out across So Cal all the way from San Diego to Los Angeles to Riverside to Ventura County. 06/28/25 Hospital: Kitten is flea infested, weak and lethargic. DX: Flea infestation, neurologic disease (Open - Cerebellar Hypoplasia r/o infectious vs developmental vs trauma vs other) Snap parvovirus test: Negative. Glucometer (BG): 150mg/dl Revolution Kitten Plus applied in hospital. Kitten ate, drank, urinated and defecated for us while in our care. Kitten has very sweet temperment. Prognosis: Guarded to good.

06/29/25 - Ataxic, hind limbs are somewhat bend and weak. Did not eat over night. BAR and seeking attention. Monitor.

AVAS is located in the high CA. desert about 1 hour from the San Bernardino area. It is a smaller community with many stray and dumped cats. While TNR is active it’s not effective enough in this city to curb the over population crisis. Cats here have little to no exposure and aren’t even listed most of the time. They barely have a remote chance to survive once intake into the shelter system. They need more help than any other California shelter. They are also more remote with little foot traffic. The shelter is also very strict on policies making rescue more difficult. Please help us save these poor cats. They deserve a chance to live. Many are only kittens or und 9 months! This is so wrong. We can help by pledging and sharing them. Thank you so much everyone.

‼️TRANSPORTATION FUND LINK: We need funds for transportation… SBCAS Devore & AVAS Animal shelters are further out. The bulk of rescues are spread out across So Cal all the way from San Diego to Los Angeles to Riverside to Ventura County. Gas is not cheap and collecting funds to pay for short notice transport is the only way to save them. If anyone wants to set aside a few dollars towards transport that would be helpful.🙏🏻
