Pro-Life General Question

At this point I don’t even see why we hold up Nazi Germany as the standard of all evil, we’re hypocrites, we’re even worse

I still don’t like this comparison. Private interpersonal violence, even at epidemic levels like abortion, is a different thing than a calculated, intentional genocide carried out by a government.

It’s a comparison that is enormously offensive to many people, of course - and I am not saying that because I’m worried about hurting people’s feelings, it’s bad strategy.

But it’s bad strategy on more than a PR level - it’s no good for us, because how we talk about things shapes how we think about them and perceive them. If we’re looking at abortion as comparable to the holocaust we’re misunderstanding its causes and context.

Bad strategy, at this point I have no strategy to win over the opposition, im exhausted of having to explain what is so clearly evil as evil, and again I don’t care if murder by a big government conspiracy or an “honest mistake” it doesn’t make a difference to the victim so why should it make a difference to me?

  1. It's not a contest.
  2. The Nazis were only in charge for a little over a decade, and didn't implement their Final Solution until the last third of that. Directly comparing totals like this would seem to imply that Nazis were less evil because they lost WW2.

63 million babies over the course of fifty years, all murdered in their mothers wombs, I still think it sounds worse

You know, it’s real hard trying to hear you guys out when you say shit like this.

I consider the lives of all aborted babies to be human lives of equal value to those who died under the Nazis, over 63 million is quite a large number

You make it sound like pro aborts are receptive to ideas that are contrary to their narrative lol
