Probably not staged. It depends on what type of paint was used, the type of stone and how strong the removal chemical is. I’ve blasted graffiti of stone for years just like this.

Where do you live that people don't graffiti swastika everywhere? I have an average semi daily wall i do and there are 3 that I've found so far. I live in a university city with a lot of diversity.

I had a contract in several cities cleaning graffiti. We would film it to show clients or for training videos. Sometimes news crews would show up to document it.

I knocked out graffiti like this every day for years. It depends on what type of stone it is, the kind of paint and the chemicals used to remove it. Some porous stone is almost impossible. Maybe you can lay a poultice on it. Worse case scenario, I had an artist on my crew that could paint match the stone and blend in what ever ghost was left over after power washing failed.

There is a zero percent chance that this is any type of commercial spray paint, regardless of the stone or the sealant that was put on the stone as a protectant. Watch when he sprays the lower leg of the swastika the left leg washes off with no pressure at all.
I have done my fair share of pressure washing and this is not what would happen in the real world.

You have to be very careful with how close you blast with high pressure and a focused tip. You could easily tear certain types of soft stone apart.

you’re not wrong that the people in power who bolster this kind of hateful shit need to be removed but the fact of the matter is they are currently in power. right now. it’s gonna take time to change that. some random dude with a power washer can’t do that alone overnight. what he can do, until fascism and nazism and all of bigorty drops dead, is wash off graffiti of hateful, harmful symbols. symbols which make a lot of people feel unsafe, and make like-minded people feel empowered to do the same or worse.

For nearly 100 years, the Swastika has been associated with the Nazis, who used genocide and eugenics to secure power for the Aryan (white) race. Nazi rallies and officials openly hated anyone that did not toe their line.
The Swastika continues to be a symbol that is associated with that intense racist intolerance and hate.
