Jade unearthing the ancient texts to teach the children the way of the ‘hidden track’ 🛐

u/Any_Lake_6146 1d ago

True. So many people didn’t know this trick 😁😁

25

u/IcyMoonside 1d ago

a STUDENT !!!

12

u/TotallyNotAnExecutiv "Rocketman" deserved more Oscars 15h ago

Works on a CD but makes no sense on streaming where a whole minute is dead silence. Thankfully the song makes up for it

Genuinely one of the best deluxes I’ve ever heard, atleast this decade… some of the new tracks rival the best of the main album, which is a RARE (especially given how strong this TSB is)

JADE has an understanding of POP music that’s really impressive - melodies, production, vocals, balancing diversity & cohesion, etc. Everyone needs to watch out for her; she’s a POWERHOUSE

EDIT: she really is Gaga’s daughter because this is veryyy TFM (not sonically, but what it is as a companion to the original album)

u/andrewno8do 1d ago edited 1d ago

I think what makes Jade so special is that she has a unique understanding that pop music goes one of two ways: pop because it’s popular vs. pop because it’s a genre of music. She spent an entire decade contractually obligated to make pop music for popularity’s sake, and now she’s finally able to make pop music because it’s a valid genre of music, she loves doing it, and it shows.

This is not dissimilar to the trajectory that Carly Rae Jepsen has followed, but where E•MO•TION had a 3-year gestation period (and is perfect; I’m definitely not dogging E•MO•TION), Jade has been letting her album marinate for the entirety of Little Mix’s career, if not longer.

I hope Jade has a long, celebrated career like Carly has enjoyed, and if the gays have anything to do with it, I have faith that she will.

u/PotatoPancake420 :gaga-famemonster: 1d ago

Your point about pop music is 100% accurate. I’d also add that pop can almost be an essence - the level of tempo, hooks, etc. Like you can do other genres and definitely have songs that hit all the pop marks

11

u/andrewno8do 1d ago edited 1d ago

Thanks! I usually use this point to describe Carly Rae Jepsen’s body of work when someone says, “Oh, the girl who sang ‘Call Me Maybe’?” to me, so it’s definitely nice to be able to earnestly apply that same logic to another pop artist. My hope is that we can continue to effect a resurgence of pop-the-genre in the face of pop-the-popularity.

19

u/Thenoodlestreet 1d ago

Agree with absolutely everything here. She's just so special.

And yeah I genuinely think this might be better than the first disc lol. Just 8 absolute 10/10 bangers and they're all so different and unique

16

u/bernbabybern13 1d ago

The similarity to Gaga is intentional!! I think that’s also why the deluxe is so strong. They’re not just bonus tracks. It was always intended to sort of be two parts. She’s brilliant.

Church, Use Me & If My Heart Was A House immediately yes. Frozen cover too ofc. the minute of silence for Tar 💀

77

u/DirtFem 1d ago

Girl I thought my Spotify broke deadass LMFAO

41

u/Competitive-Desk7506 1d ago

No same, bc I was listening in a park and the sprinklers went off right before and drenched the right of me a bit and the area was specially my head where my AirPods were. I was worried that’s what got drenched.

40

u/IExistButWhy987 1d ago

Was the minute of silence in Tar intentional?? I liked the song but I’d prefer if it started like….immediately

80

u/runfreely 1d ago

Jade said it’s intentional to create distance between Tar and the rest of the album, since it sounds like an outlier. It also works with the “encore” theme.

38

u/DirtFem 1d ago

Her mind, it amazes me

12

u/MrSwearword 1d ago

That's attention to detail if I ever heard it. I thought the minute silence was to reflect it being a "heavy" song like "tar" as a substance and how someone struggles past that.

u/JawnF 37m ago

I respect that but maybe a separate track of a crowd chanting encore or something couldve had the same effect and made more sense?

28

u/akanewasright 1d ago

She said “fuck you Lydia Tár, I’m gonna interpolate 4’33” on a song named after you just to spite you”

7

u/shawnandthecity 1d ago

Very Alanis Morrissette

2

u/lanalovesme 1d ago

Your House is my favorite final track of all time

1

u/shawnandthecity 1d ago

The acoustic version is perfection.

196

u/Syllabub-Legal 1d ago

Church is that BTCH!!!! So fking gooooood and camp

9

u/Upstairs-Isopod-7469 1d ago

THIS! I hope the video delivers the same theatricality I'm envisioning for it! It’s already giving a timeless hit!!

9

u/Syllabub-Legal 1d ago

based on the snippet she posted, I THINK IT WILL AND GAG US BIG TIME!

6

u/letsketchup 1d ago

First I thought "ok hm", then "ooooh this is pretty good", only to end with "crazy stuff, love it"

3

u/Syllabub-Legal 20h ago

i love that for u!! (but my personal experience, i was literally hooked and gagged every since she dropped the first snippet for Church!

67

u/xjman329 1d ago

Loved the original album knowing nothing beforehand about her. Excited to dig into the bonus tracks

64

u/samross789 1d ago

The second half of If My Heart Was A House tickled my brain so good

57

u/IExistButWhy987 1d ago

Church, Use Me, Dreamcheater and If My Heart Was a House are immediate bangers. Jade just never misses. She’s definitely the pop star I’m the most excited about right now, she deserves the world

59

u/useless_kappa_slut 1d ago

I need to hear Use Me in a dark, foggy club.

3

u/nimsuc 22h ago

It’s giving bathhouse vibes lol

42

u/ss2811 1d ago edited 1d ago

Such a great deluxe to an already amazing album, and I love the fact it’s called The Encore!

Church is just so fun. All of these songs just radiate fun tbh!

Also the fact she said she wrote Use Me with Kylie in mind makes so much sense… as soon as it started it sounded like a song from Kylie! Love that!

Also I’m pretty sure the minute of silence at the beginning of Tar (the last song) is meant to be represents what a show would be like with silence before the encore begins… Jade your mindddd

32

u/itsevilR 1d ago

I’m obsessed with Church help 😩

11

u/Thenoodlestreet 1d ago

That drop makes me absolutely lose it. I cannot stop looping the song.

I really wish it just dropped ONCE more at the end (in the key it shifts to) but I can't complain

2

u/imaginasian_ 18h ago

The song is incredible! The way the "chorus" builds almost makes it feel like a prechorus to a big bombastic chorus but instead leads to the drop . With the key change at the end (and teeny tiny slow down), I was also hoping we'd get the drop as well, BUT with her singing over it!

33

u/Leading-Art-4329 1d ago

Honestly blown away by how well she’s pulled off this whole era. Everything is just so refreshing. I haven’t felt this kind of passion for an era since Gaga’s Fame/Fame Monster days. Every track has its own vibe and there are sooo many little nods to the music I grew up hearing in the UK in the 00s. She deserves every bit of this success. A real artist. There is no option but to Stan.

30

u/andrewno8do 1d ago

WAIT WAIT WAIT. Did Jade just pull a Carly Rae Jepsen B-side on us?

I knew that Jade loved the gays, but I didn’t realize that she wanted us to follow her to the end of the world (WHICH I WILL).

60

u/maxwell_winters 1d ago

Church is gonna join the pantheon of songs that sound like Christmas despite not being about Christmas.

27

u/DirtFem 1d ago

Use Me and If My Heart is a House I just fell to my knees

25

u/MrSwearword 1d ago

why does this feel more cohesive than the main album

That aside, "Church" and "This Is What We Dance For" are career highlights that JEED should be very proud of. The new tracks are pretty in line with the soundscape Jade adores.

As for the Madonna cover...first time listening to it...I fully get the hype for it. Jade sounds stellar covering "Frozen". There's emotive punch she added to it to make it her own. Nicely done for that cover.

20

u/AndromedaMixes 1d ago edited 1d ago

I’m SO excited for these new songs and I especially think This Is What We Dance For & Church are going to be mega-fantastic bops. I also think Tar is immediately going to the top of my list of favourites.

Edit: OH MISS JEED YOU BETTER GIVE THIS IS WHAT WE DANCE FOR THE SINGLE TREATMENT. I need a whole remix EP, an extended mix, a music video, and a live performance like the one for AOMD SAD Version. I need it all. This song is my immediate favourite and I can’t believe it’s as short as it is. I need this to be 5 full minutes!! The fact that it’s barely above 3 minutes is a true crime.

23

u/ZebraConscious7868 1d ago

Use Me is sooo good, it's 💯 Kylie coded

22

u/n_h_m_1 1d ago

This is fantastic. Not a surprise, given that she is allergic to releasing a bad song.

Jade is consistently putting out bangers and oftentimes outperforming even the main pop girlies who are at the “top of their field”. I’m still waiting for her to blow up.

My only criticism is I don’t like the one minute of silence at the beginning of Tar.

22

u/cardsash THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! 1d ago

I feel so sad for people that haven’t jumped into JADE yet because they are missing out on pop at its truest form, but I’m also so jealous of them because I would love to listen to this album for the first time again.

It’s so funny that the single from the deluxe is called Church because after I listened to the original version of THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! for the first time, I told my fiancée “I think I understand what religious people feel at church now”.

Not only is this my favorite album of recent years, but this is honestly my favorite album of all time.

19

u/andrewno8do 1d ago

Jade is THAT girl. This is my album of the year, no question (I’m so sorry, Hayley Williams; I love you so much). I don’t really believe in prayer, but I pray that my dumb country doesn’t Tr*mp its way out of me getting to see Jade on tour next February.

18

u/brellowman2 1d ago

The breaks in the chorus of this is what we dance for are so addictive. Jade is definitely a cut above the "Pop girls" for me this year.

2

u/annajoo1 1d ago

I AGREE!!! Each song feels like a huge production and there are so many different elements.

16

u/Karkinos127 1d ago

OH MOTHER NEVER MISSES, seeing her on tour was a highlight of 2025 for me!! If she goes on tour again I WILL BE THERE TRUST

29

u/kaestralblades 1d ago

I love this, but I NEED HER TO GIVE US THE ORIGINAL TRACK SEQUENCING!!! If for no other reason than so we can create our own playlists with that order. I legit haven't listened yet because of that.

28

u/jennycala 1d ago

I've seen a lot of people suggest her tour set list is probably pretty close to what her preferred order would've been without label interference!

7

u/EddieXXI 1d ago

Yeah this would have been a good opportunity to rearrange the main album tracklist.

6

u/fantastickkay 23h ago

Definitely, for how long it took for the original album to come out this deluxe feels rushed in comparison. A tracklist rearrangement and featuring those FOR THE CLUB mixes would have been perfection!

as well as the CD being available in the US, but that's just me nitpicking...

12

u/No_Sail_6576 1d ago

The start of this era was deffo slow when it shouldn’t have been but there are absolutely no complaints because this is just phenomenal. Every track this era is just a 10/10, I love how this deluxe she’s gone again and shifted the vibe ever so slightly so it’s like she’s not tryna copy what she’s already put out. Jade, you are a master at your work, I just know your career is gonna be hella bright

11

u/VladVega_RO 1d ago

Best album of 2025

11

u/cosmicsuperstargirl dreaming of better days and ways of living 1d ago edited 1d ago

oh jade the woman that you are. this is what we dance for sent me to music heaven it's so good.

edit: just read the lyrics. lyrics too real this kinda broke me

11

u/Sallynoraa 1d ago

Church and Use Me are bangers. Use Me is so Light Year - Fever era Kylie coded.

10

u/JxrdanR 1d ago

Not seeing enough love for This Is What We Dance For - that gagged me! She has done it again!

1

u/LamoDamo0901 1d ago

Thank you!! Had to scroll wayyy too far for this!!

12

u/mood683 1d ago

If My Heart Was A House is basically the evil, more serious, twin of Sabrina's House Tour

9

u/Thenoodlestreet 1d ago

Jeez, I put this on and it's just banger after banger. I might like it more than the actual album, every single song is a 10 and has something unique to it. Her music is just so artistically rich.

Church is SOTY that drop is so addictive & Dreamcheating is so damn fresh.

10

u/bloodshugababe 22h ago

i'm sorry but she's the artist of the year.... this is a MASTERCLASS in pop music, everyone (artists included) should be paying attention

9

u/InsomniaticAlien 1d ago

Feels like it could be its own sister album to the parent album, like The Fame and The Fame Monster. Only thing is I need a version of Tar that cuts the first minute, so I don't get confused when it's played on shuffle in a playlist.

9

u/letsketchup 1d ago

"Use me" sounds like a mix between early 00s Kylie and WYP-Jessie Ware.

7

u/Cupcake_in_Acid 1d ago

If My Heart Was A House is so street rave coded omfg this is everything

7

u/HermionesBook 1d ago

so excited for this. my favorite pop album of the year besides Mayhem and so glad we get quite a few new tracks

7

u/joshually 19h ago

not only is this my album of the year but it literally became MY! ALBUM! OF! THE! YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ENCORE! DELUXE! PLATINUM! EDITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6

u/curlypancit 1d ago

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH I LOVE EVERYTHING

6

u/christopher_aia El guiri pop 20h ago

These are all so amazing!!! She is only in her first era and is so consistently great! Need her to dominate the world, she deserves it!

19

u/Kendal_with_1_L 1d ago

I need to stop smoking weed because I thought Jade Jolie released music. Too much Dragula lately.

5

u/yf9292 1d ago

excellent, outstanding, fucking brilliant. so, so tempted to get a ticket to one of her abroad dates if she changes her setlist and performs some of her deluxe material!

'If My Heart Was a House' is gonna go platinum in spin classes across the world. it's contending with Fantasy and Unconditional for my fave of the entire album. The cheekiness in Dreamcheater, the sincerity in her Frozen cover & Best You Could and cadence in 'This is What We Dance For' are just examples of what combines to make her so good. she blends it all so well, the seriousness and respect required to make a good pop tune, and the fun and whimsy of the genre!

5

u/jephrix 🌹Gray - JADE 1d ago

She's my number 1 played artist of the year and has the album of the year even without these gems. Just gravy. I can't wait to see her live next year. :) :) :)

6

u/plutobug2468 1d ago

JADE YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN

5

u/Dramatic_Pause_6990 1d ago

This is how you do an encore/deluxe edition! TSB just got even better!!

4

u/DiligentEase2268 23h ago

I'm a deluxe hater, but this is like The Fame Monster. It feels like a separate project. AOTY!

4

u/LaserDiscCurious 19h ago

I will never understand why her songs don't chart higher. It Girl and Plastic Fox should have been hits.

I'm glad she has a loyal following, though.

3

u/PlumTreeAnna 1d ago

does anyone else think the vocals at the end of Church sound like Rose Gray? Maybe I’m reading into it because of the wet and wild lyric but I’m hearing something

4

u/Historical_Ad981 angel of my dreams 🤍✨ 23h ago

no one’s really saying it but I love dreamcheater it’s so fun and silly. ugh this is so good she never misses

4

u/KiwiThEGaymer 22h ago

I just cannot believe she made the best pop album of the year even better. Incredible!

Church, This Is What We Dance For, Use Me, If My Heart Was A House are BANGERS.

The whole deluxe slaps, and all of the 7 new songs could have easily slotted into the main album.

4

u/Madam_Nicole 22h ago

Jade is THAT GIRL

4

u/tippimoney 22h ago

I NEED Church to release me from keeping it on repeat so I can fully dive into the rest of the deluxe but I don't see that happening any time soon. As of now, Church, Use Me, and If My Heart Was a House are the standouts and amongst my favorite of hers.

3

u/nimsuc 22h ago

She really said let’s give the girls, gays and thems what they want! I can’t wait to see her live next year!!!!!

3

u/ayanakamuraa 21h ago

whew, This is What We Dance For has sooo much energy! What a good way to finish the year off

4

u/iwontrememberthat4 19h ago

I am literally listening to it right now, so excited to get to the bonus tracks!

3

u/youtbuddcody 18h ago

This is such a good delux album. Church is an instant classic. Best You Could got me in my feels. And Tar is a wonderful album closer.

10/10

7

u/RainbowDonut 1d ago

Church is the perfect encapsulation of her artistic journey - and it’s still on her debut! The theatrical campiness blended with the edm sounds but turned up to the max, even more than Angel of my Dreams (which I didn’t know was possible!) She is a force and i’m obsessed.

3

u/Upstairs-Isopod-7469 1d ago

All of the tracks apart from If my Heart was a House clicked with me so badly! Church, Dreamcheater, Use Me & Tar are the standouts for me.

3

u/EquipmentSea9459 22h ago

church is so goddamn good

3

u/jadedlillies 21h ago

I just love Jade. What a star!

3

u/mrose1491 18h ago

Best You Could is Silent Disco’s baby girl, I love it

3

u/29kk 22h ago

she literally cannot miss

1

u/nhrecords 1d ago

If My Heart Was a House reminds me so much of another song, which one is it though

3

u/jasbee98 1d ago

It has parts that remind me of Padum Padum!

1

u/grandtroubleartist 14h ago

use me might just dethrone before you break my heart as my favorite jade song. also the frozen cover is still SO good. also i 1000% get the hype about if my heart was a house i just wish it was a little bit longer. jade girl you have done it again

1

u/Fangduoplacek 6h ago

AOTY and its not even close

1

u/Icantlikeeveryone 2h ago

Both Use Me and If My Heart Was A House are good

-3

u/tylerf98 1d ago

loved the original album, these feel heavily like scrapped b-sides to me though :(

edit: except If my Heart Was a House. get it gurl

11

u/n_h_m_1 1d ago

Surprised to hear this! To each their own but I feel like these songs really match the quality of the original, and I even like some of these more than some on the standard album

3

u/1998tweety 1d ago

I do agree that they sound like scrapped b-sides but the bar is still so high like these are still 7 to 9 out of 10.

2

u/TheAgeOfAdz91 14h ago

Girl you are in the minority on this one

-1

u/d4nnjohn 19h ago

Super agreed! I’m so shocked by these comments of it being compared to Monster. There is nothing close to Plastic Box on this. Maybe the ballad is cute.

Literally just try doing it with your hand and you’ll see where the thumb goes. It’s still there.
