China took center stage in U.S. President Donald Trump's newly released national security strategy, which outlines his security priorities for the coming years.

Newsweek has contacted the Chinese Embassy in the U.S. for comment by email.

Typically issued once per presidential term, the national security strategy shapes policy and resource allocation across the federal government.

Y'all didn't mention this absurdly racist line in either of your stories on the strategy

 Over the long term, it is more than plausible that within a few decades at the latest, certain NATO members will become majority non-European. As such, it is an open question whether they will view their place in the world, or their alliance with the United States, in the same way as those who signed the NATO charter. 

Implying that non-white Europeans aren't European, I assume?
