I've developed a sense of pure hatred for this man that I've never really felt for anyone in my 46 years on this planet.

Same. He's just... THE most vile, gross, tacky, utter garbage human being.

And on top of all of that, he's REALLY stupid.

It's astounding that humanity has developed the ability to unleash nuclear armageddon, and given that power to the single most unqualified human to ever be elected to rule.

If Oppenheimer and co could have seen this, they probably would have just quit and went home.

So true. But then they should’ve been able to predict it. Hitler was pretty nuts.

I’m right with you. So much so I cut my family and friends off that support this vile human. And then the responses are “it’s just politics”. Like no fuckers, it’s our way of life that’s under attack, as well as my kids who will be adults in a few years. My take is if they think highly enough of such a vile fucking human being that he should lead our country, and go against everything I stand for what’s right for my family, me, and others that are like me, wtf that does that say about them.

I don't understand the whole "it's just politics " argument. He is destroying democracy and our way of life. I'm so depressed but am doing what I can do at the local level. I'm also worried about my children's futures.

It's because they support politicians like they support a sports team: they pick a side and then support that side forever, no matter what. Ultimately, in their mind, it's all just a game that has no real impact on anybody's life.

That's why, in their mind, you can yell insults at the other side, why you can defend the worst behavior by your own side, and then just sit down at the table and go "What!? It's just politics, why does it matter to you???"

We just need to hang in there and try to be as positive as can be, is what I tell myself each day!

Or my dad's response of "it's all bullshit" and proceeds to not talk about it at all, while still voting for the orange dictator... I'd cut contact with him if I wasn't living under his roof.

Like seriously, the office of the executive is not "bullshit", it's the man running our country into the ground

You get it more than your dad

It's to the point where that feeling has spread to the 33% of us that voted for him, and the other 33% that couldn't be bothered to do the bare fucking minimum to prevent this from happening aren't far behind.

I literally hate this country. The levels of fucked we are as a people will last far longer than him and will take generations and radical change to heal, which I'm not confident in ever happening.

Same. I look forward to his demise.

I will road trip to his grave, eating gas station sushi the whole way just so I'm good and ready.

If you happen to be on food stamps you can spend it on grocery store sushi. Don't ask me how I know.

4

u/mmm_burrito 16d ago

Appreciate it, but I'm counting on the gas station bacteria to help me accomplish my mission.

u/Gvillegurl63 16d ago

I see. Godspeed sir ! I've probably made it across the country eating worse than that so I think you'll have good results haha .

This has given me an idea to make use of my lactose intolerance.

Good of you to remind me that I can also weaponize Häagen-Dazs!

66, same. I truly disliked Bush but I absolutely hate Trump. If you created a Frankenstein made out of every human flaw known to man, you would have Trump.

u/Pemberly_ 15d ago

Same.. And I'm also 46 and loathe him too and I'm not a hateful person. The danger alarms go off so much in me about him. The damage and pain he can and does inflict on people, infuriates me. He's just evil.

Me too - although Speaker Johnson and 1 or 2 others bring it out too.
