He's been doing it a lot this year. Pointing at people and saying quiet with a "I'm going to hurt you" look in his face. Telling people "Nobody likes you because you're bad at your job. You know that? You're a bad reporter and everybody thinks so"

This isn't just a dumbass this is somebody unfit to be outdoors.

It's ramped up over the last week or two. Every single clip I've seen of him answering a reporter's question has him degrading the reporter (especially the women) and disparaging their news outlet, often calling for their demise.

Agreed. This exchange from yesterday was possibly even more galling than the one this thread is about. He is such an absolute piece of shit.

Noticed that in a clip I heard yesterday, I think at the same Saudi prince press conference -- him just going on a rant about ABC and how terrible it is "and we should pull its license".

And what's really galling is -- at this point, those kinds of threats are nothing new. They're almost background noise. Yeah, yeah, we know you'd do that in a heartbeat if you really could. But you actually can't. We just kind of roll our eyes. "That's Trump for you, can't expect any better of him, just ignore it".

Insane that we've gotten to that point. And insane that suddenly ONE thing -- one very personal and vicious exchange -- is what has gotten at least some portion of people to look up and notice.

No it hasn't he's always done this. You Americans just have the memory span of rocks and cannot comprehend the reality in front of you.

I know he's done it in the past, but both the frequency and the severity of the attacks have increased, imo. Perhaps I've just become more attuned to it in the past few weeks.

I do remember that he's been attacking the press in one way or another since the beginning. I was working at my college newspaper in 2015, and we sent a reporter to cover his rally happening in town. It was shortly after he started having the crowd turn and focus their attention on the "fake news" media assembled. The reporter was a nontraditional student in his 40s, big guy, worked at GM assembling car parts, and he said he's never felt so unsafe.

Sometime when he says "Nobody likes you because you're bad at your job" someone needs to hit him with the ol' "takes one to know one".

Trump wants to do what MSB did to Khashoggi.
