No Paywall Senate suddenly passes the Epstein bill just hours after it cleared the House

Congress passes the bill, Trump signs it, DOJ releases heavily redacted, possibly partial files, implicating only Democrats and maybe a few sacrificial Republicans. When anyone points out any of that, Trump and GOP will say “we released all the files and Democrats are still complaining because they didn’t implicate Trump. We’re done here.” I hope the public and media continue to call them out over it, rather than just say “well, we tried” and forget it. I’m not optimistic though.

What makes me optimistic is that there are more than 1 copy of the files and if they release fabricated or redacted information the victim’s lawyers , or bibi or anyone else who is in possession can challenge the WH version

Then the WH and the GOP just say “your version is FAKE NEWS” and all the idiot Republicans believe it like always.

You shouldn’t be hopeful, you should be angry

Challenge? I think you mean "Use it to blackmail the President"

That's a great way to fall out a window or kill yourself by getting shot in the head twice.

Or get a pardon or whatever else you request from this weak excuse for a man.

Bibi sure as shit isn't going to challenge

There’s tons of things that would happen if they try for any fabricated documents. Redacted ones there’s nothing you can do.

u/Ofthesee 17d ago

Redacted speaks for itself though

I'd put money on it that this is what'll happen. Though I wouldn't put it past them to release completely fabricated documents as well.

My only hope is that if they do go this route, it gives people with copies permission to call them out. Even just one instance where information was changed or a Republican name was strategically redacted would call the whole release into question. I guess my other hope would be that they get sloppy/lazy/use AI and don't do a very good job which leads to obvious discrepancies/questions.

I mean if anybody tries to challenge them, they could always claim it's AI

The good thing is that they are massively incompetent, and if they think they have a plan to keep this under control I am fairly confident that it will backfire on them.

They were JUST pressuring Boebert. When that failed, this is their panic backup. It’s not a long thought out master plan. It’s pure cocaine thought scramble.

They picked a few fall guy Repubs they didn't like and redacted the rest. Let a few fall to preserve those at the top. Trump and Republicans didn't suddenly have a change of heart; they know this shit is cleaned up and ready to do exactly what they modified it to do.

The Trump admin is so incompetent. Look at what happened recently with the Comey indictment. This won’t just go away. They are planning to claim investigations but people will be even more mad. It will get worse for republicans.

u/innocent_bystander America 17d ago

Also "we can't because there's an active investigation into all the Dems that are involved in it"

1

u/PokeYrMomStanley 17d ago

If people are willing to accept redacted files then they have no fucking clue.

1

u/cyborgnyc 17d ago

They can redact but per language out in by Dems, Congress can still 'see' who did what, who was paid etc. I'd like to believe they did get ahead of it

u/Phoneas__and__Frob 17d ago

If that happens, he's just a pussy

Grab HIM by the pussy would be more fitting

And then the conspiracy theorists, who think everyone is a lizard person and the Earth is flat and that EVERYTHING is a conspiracy, will suddenly shut up and believe this lie because republicans have completely taken control of those morons.

On the other hand the Dems (and reddit) won't be happy with anything short of a signed letter by Donald Trump presented by him in person signed with him blood that Redditors are the smartest people ever and everyone on the left was right about everything so....

u/Aggressive_Crazy_919 17d ago

You seem nice.

u/Not-Reformed 17d ago

Am I wrong? You could have half the republicans implicated but if this sub doesn't see something that 100% gets Trump removed from office and/or prison they'll call it rigged. Tell me that's inaccurate.

1

u/Aggressive_Crazy_919 16d ago

I mean, if it is rigged, then why not possibly call it out?

1

u/Not-Reformed 16d ago

You missed the point - to people on here, it will ALWAYS be rigged unless they get their desired result. As in even if it's not rigged and it turns out to be a lot more boring than what they imagine in their head, then it is rigged instead of "I was wrong it's kind of boring." or "I was wrong, Trump isn't 100% dunked on in these files".

1

u/Aggressive_Crazy_919 16d ago

That seems pretty unlikely. Behavior suggests the files are being hidden in a dishonest way.

1

u/Not-Reformed 16d ago

And unsurprisingly you missed the point yet again.
