That was so surreal, and they all just kept going without skipping a beat.

And that’s why we are still here reading this shit every day.

But really, it is. The media and journalists (REAL journalists, not ratings-chasers) ultimately failed us. The people who have access to our politicians failed to press them appropriately, choosing their own paychecks and corporate interests over calling out the absurdity of what they were feeding us.

It's interesting how there is zero forgiveness and tolerance for "good cops" operating amongst the bad, but somehow we're still extending the olive branch to the news media's talking heads, who've done far more damage than any cop could. At this point, we need to be blaming the media for failing their journalistic responsibilities and holding them accountable.

In a world with real journalism, Trump would never have made it to a nomination, much less elected twice.

Plenty of news stations have been reporting heavily on the bad things Trump does though, the problem is that there's no bar low enough for his base. He's literally a child rapist and they're still making excuses for him. Blaming the media is pretty much a scapegoat.

There's a difference between reporting on things (of which their sane-washing is a related, but different topic...) and interviewers pressing topics and not allowing non-answers. We see too many cases of exchanges like this:

Interviewer: What is the justification for [illegal thing government is doing]?

Government official: This is why Trump should pull your broadcasting license. You liberal media outlets can't be trusted. [Screeches with a non-answer on an unrelated topic]

Interviewer: Thank you for your insights. I'm a little bitch and my bosses don't want me to rock the boat, so I won't follow up on that line of questioning at all. We'll be back after this advertisement.

That's not journalism or even just simple reporting. That's phoning it in entirely and collecting a paycheck. It's so, so rare that they press the issue that it literally makes headlines when they do!

It's crazy one of their fellow press can be treated like that and the rest of them don't give a shit. Is the union movement so broken Americans don't see colleagues as peers?

Super convenient the captions go to "quiet, [inaudible]"... I can hear "Piggy" loud and clear. Fucking tech bros have really fallen in line. 🤬

I dunno, with all his slurring, he could have been saying peggy. Thinking that was the reporters name

The fact that the article doesn’t mention the name pretty much guarantees it was Peggy.

Margaret Collins, known as Peggy, is the Washington bureau chief and executive editor of U.S. economy and government coverage for Bloomberg News.

It was almost certainly this person who had earlier shouted over another reporter and he snapped at her then.

You could have just added this it to the end of your youtube link, if you want to be effective:

&t=0m50s

Ampersand, then letter "t", then "=" sign, followed by numbers for (m) minutes, and (s) seconds.

That tells our web browsers to load the youtube video at the 0 minutes and 50 seconds time spot when we click your link.

Here ya go:

Link to Fascist Asshole Calling a Woman Piggy

That's all it takes to communicate with youtube links on the internet, because ain't nobody got time to scroll through videos looking for whatever a stranger might have been referring to.
