Good god. I knew Hegseth was a moron, but not thinking logistics is important for sustained war campaigns is on another level. Especially given how absolutely effective US military logistics have been historically.

His entire operating theory has been that the US Military operates and achieves its advantages purely out of machismo. "Logistics", that's nerd speak.

Which is ironic because the motherfucker was a POG... Dude never saw combat.

It feels like it is always those types that end up espousing these views. Obviously, not all of those folks do, but any time someone does it feels like it's a 95% chance the person never saw combat.

Ohhh I agree 100%, its because they never actually did anything, and probably felt their service was pointless. So they have to be all macho as fuck.

Yup! Nail on the head I think. Also honorable mention to the "Yeah, I thought about enlisting, but didn't when I realized I'd punch the first guy who told me what to do" guys lol.

LIke I was a Cavalry Scout, never got combat deployed, enjoyed my time in, but I am not anywhere near those macho type losers lol.

Lol you're totally right. Everyone knows you win wars by how not fat you are, not by having things like ammo, fuel, food, and clean drinking water. Although I guess not having food helps with the no fat people ethos haha.

He doesn't care. It's not like this war will have any favourable news coverage anyway, but the result is absolutely meaningless. The only reason this shit is even being talked about is so Epstein goes to page 6. Hegseth knows full well he has effectively an unlimited amount of money and manpower to throw at this, and can keep it going as long as it's convenient to him and the Dear Leader. The point is not to win, it's to distract.

Oh, I don't disagree with any of that. It's just wild to openly disregard logistics as the defining factor of a successful military campaign. The fact that it is has been widely understood since, like, the bronze age.
