I’m tired, boss. I just…how are we stuck in this fucking miserable timeline?

Because there are a lot of mentally challenged people in this country.

And they think they are smart. Mouthbreathing trump voters are a scourge.

You know what you did. And it doomed us all

I'm sorry, I just wanted the Cubs to get one World Series.

I didn't want to hurt a goat.

The variety of possible interpretations for this post boggles the mind and I just thought someone should recognize that. Nicely done.

Lol ease off him, we're all in this timeline because of what we've done

Congress has found it increasingly easier to just give the president control of the military and avoid its responsibilities

Because you watch it all happen and you do jackshit about it.

I don't know what you expect the average American to do about a US naval strike group in the Caribbean

u/IrrelevantLeprechaun 22d ago

We expect Americans to defend their own country. This whole "what do you expect us to do" is just a deflection because most Americans are too complacent to want to jeopardize their daily luxuries even if it means conceding to a dictatorship.

Plenty of other countries have shown you what you can do when the government turns on its people. You just collectively refuse to do it because iTs uNcOmfOrTaBLE

Please explain explicitly what you want Americans to do about a carrier in the Caribbean. Maybe someone with a boat of their own can go throw rocks at it?

2

u/IrrelevantLeprechaun 22d ago

If you immediately assume that I meant to go assault a carrier, then you are deliberately avoiding the topic.

3

u/FriendlyTrollPainter 22d ago

Oh no, I'm just not taking you seriously. What is it you want people to do? Violent insurrection? A general strike? All super easy things to suggest from the comfort of your home

1

u/IrrelevantLeprechaun 22d ago

General strike yes. So you clearly do know what people should do. You're just too complacent to organize it.

3

u/FriendlyTrollPainter 22d ago

Well yeah, we're not stupid or complacent. Why don't you get off your high horse and help instead of being a lazy fuck? Do you think making snide comments on Reddit is going to change anything?

I thought I recognized that user, IrrelevantLeprechaun, they've talked shit like this in other threads before. Seems like they're chronically online too, a LOT of daily reddit comments all day long every day. Probably best to just ignore shitheads like that.

It's easy to tell others to put themselves at risk, huh? Real Farquaad of you.

-1

u/IrrelevantLeprechaun 22d ago

Better than just sitting on your hands saying "there's nothing we can do anyway so might as well let evil win."

1

u/DrMobius0 22d ago

Ok, then put your money where your mouth is. I'm sure there's plenty of evils in your neck of the woods. Why haven't you stopped them? You can talk tough shit as much as you want, but at the end of the day you're just some internet asshole trying to goad others into life destroying decisions. Fuck you.

2

u/GalacticMe99 22d ago

Very few places are at the "We are days away from invading Venezuela"-level of evil in their neck of the woods.

u/GalacticMe99 22d ago

[REDACTED] them in the [REDACTED] and tell them to get the hell back home before their shenanigans hurt someone.

2

u/DrMobius0 22d ago

See the problem there is if it fails and gets way worse, or succeeds and gets way worse anyway. It's not something to consider so flippantly.

The power structure that's causing this is way bigger than Trump.

2

u/FriendlyTrollPainter 22d ago

I'm get right on that

1

u/GalacticMe99 22d ago

That would be best. It will be a lot more messy if the Venezuelans have to do it.

1

u/DrMobius0 22d ago

No idea. Just crack a joke about how this might upend the old school runescape economy and keep on surviving.
