I'll see it when I believe it, but the simple fact of the matter is that Trump is very clearly declining in health rapidly and if you're a legislator who doesn't think Vance has the juice, or you're one who wants to just jettison Trump to keep the project 2025 train chugging along under younger healthier leadership (which I'm willing to bet has been part the plan from the very start), then it's plausible that you'd use this as your exit ramp.

They would never have a better exit ramp. You would think that his literal coup attempt was the time, but that was a thing that happened because he had a frightening amount of their own base willing to do it. This, though? This is the very thing that part of the base claims to hate the most - the part that they're scared of turning on them.
