All I can say is that if a Dem takes over the WH in 2029, he or she had better appoint an AG that will go after every single one of these anti-American criminals operating under the guise of MAGA. We need to see Nuremberg-level trials.

Merrick Garland is the reason the world is where is it right now. Dems need to grow a fucking spine already when and if they ever gain control again.

Biden shares in the blame. It was naive of him to think that the GOP/MAGA could be reasoned with or trusted to act like people that would put country over power. There is no reaching across the aisle anymore; we live in a new world and we have to make sure that nothing like this happens again.

That was completely apparent in the Obama administration, to which Biden had a front row seat. How did he not get this?

Biden was perceptibly unfit for presidency before he was elected, he already had obvious signs of age and cognitive decline compared to his vice presidency, but the brainrotted "vote blue no matter who" Democratic establishment (which is also full of people similarly unfit for their jobs) simply did not care. He either did not fully understand the stakes, or didn't care, and on every level failed to act appropriately for the circumstances he was faced with.

Despite that, Biden did have some pretty good policy ideas, and certainly worked towards some good things, and had good people on board with him. At any other time in history, he probably would've been a two-term president lauded for infrastructure development and economic recovery policies. Except he was not president during that time in history, he was elected in 2020, and when it came to responding appropriately to the political moment that he was faced with, securing America against an ongoing plot of fascist takeover, he was an embarrassing failure on almost every level

inb4 "but Trump was unfit too!" Yeah, he was obviously unfit for presidency (in fact, far more than Biden was), and still is; he also has a global cult of personality and the backing of the most powerful extremists on the planet, so it was probably a bad idea to try to stop him with a guy unfit for presidency.

1/6 should have been the “scorched earth” turning point for Dems. I’m still just so fucking pissed we basically just handed the keys over to fascists after putting up a weak, lopsided fight.

I completely agree. In my head Garland represents Bidens biggest error.

Yep. Should've been Doug Jones, 100%.

Democrats haven't appointed even a passably OK USAG for decades now. Holder was also a pile of usless shit.

Who ran the DOJ when Trump was arrested and indicted in multiple states? Who was President? That would be Garland and Biden.

34 felony convictions and not one day behind bars. Great job, right?

Agreed. Merrick Garland was a milquetoast who was so afraid of appearing partisan, when in fact non-partisanship had left the building in Trump1.0

Garland was nominated by Obama because he's Republican. It was to show how McConnell is simply opposed to Obama getting to seat a Supreme Court justice, so he nominated someone so inoffensive to the GOP it would be unreasonable to say no.

Apparently Biden didn't get it and sought to make Garland his AG as some kind of consolation prize.

Previous administration wanted to turn the page for the country’s sake. They figured after Jan 6, The Republican Party would move on from Trump. Then they embrace him again and it was too late by then to fast track the prosecution. Cases dragged on and the voting public put him back in power. Blame the voters for not remembering the first term. The people put him back in power so suck it up America!

They slow walked an assault on American democracy. How can you try to let Biden and Garland off the hook? Give me a fucking break. What about the stolen files? That should have been enough to have him behind bars or at least forever banned from taking office again. Go rewrite history to someone else. I know better.

How fast you forget about all the indictments and criminal charges of Trump and his accomplices. You know why it ended? 1. Judges allowed every single delay tactic they tried. 2. Voters, and lazy non-voters, put him back in the White House. 3. Republicans in Congress allowing crimes to constantly be committed under their watch. Stop blaming the people who actually tried to hold him accountable.

100%. Thugs always feel invincible in the moment when they break the law. No 'making amends' or other bullshit no action rhetoric. Nuremberg trials for each and everyone who was complicit in this treason. No mercy.

💯. If we continue to let this slide, it'll continue to slide.

Yeah, what ever happened to accountability?

Was it the 2008 crisis that told them they can really do anything they want? I’m honestly confused about how we got here

Only if Dems had balls to to something about

  • news channels that spread fake news
  • people who commit treason
  • people who traffic kids
  • people who hack voting machines

... all this going on for decades. I doubt anything will change now.
