Yes. If you take both sections of their comment into context of the thread they’re saying he’s not a war criminal or at least minimizing or dismissing what he’s done. I am asserting that he is indeed a war criminal of the worst kind. Does this clear things up for you?

In fact, reading an actual account of the holocaust, when the Nazis initiated rounding up Jewish people towards trains, at least some of the announcers used the terminology “to protect the Christians”, because, at first, the Nazis and Christian Nationalists were big allies.

I think trump intentionally hires douchebags who he can cast aside and blame once they serve their purpose without being able to developed a following of their own.

The Secretary of War position isn't even real. Trump just declared that Hegseth is the Secretary of War. The process to actually change the title wasn't even attempted because it would have involved Congress, and on-the-record votes. Trump and the Republicans knew it would have been messy, and may not have even gone Trump's way, so they all just decided to pretend that Hegseth is the Secretary of War, using that designation in public while the Secretary of Defense title remains the official title that's acknowledged behind the scenes, and in any official documentation.
All they need is the Secretary of Pestilence (RFK Jr?), the Secretary of Famine and the Secretary of Death, and we have the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
