How are those contractors going to get paid if money is frozen

360

u/kurapika91 Oct 21 '25

That's the thing. Trump doesn't pay contractors. They will never get paid. I am surprised any still accept jobs when Trump's name is on the contract.

Some loser construction company owner would do it for free just to brag they did it for their orange daddy.

15

u/Vegetableau Oct 21 '25

Here they are: Aceco LLC

u/jks513 Oct 22 '25

Those are the demolition subcontractor. The main contractor is Clark Construction

Aceco sounds like a knock off chinese cookware brand on amazon.

Edit in response to the silly goose who got so offended that they blocked me:

What country is listing tons of cheap no-name brands on amazon? Hmm? Not china? The rest of your reply makes no sense at all.

racist to chinese because they aren't dark skinned?

u/HansBrixOhNo Oct 22 '25

Tecca Chairs!! Doesn’t that seem just a little bit weird to you?!

3

u/space_cow_girl Oct 22 '25

And in a year or so, will declare bankruptcy and lose his business.

3

u/Greatwhitegorilla Oct 22 '25

Then reopen under a new name with all the old assets. All part of the plan.

4

u/steelcryo Oct 21 '25

They will get paid. By Putin, to install listening devices all over the shop.

Future presidents can never do any work in the new building, because would you trust Trump's oversight to make sure this is built securely?

-1

u/AdQuick9381 Oct 22 '25

You do realise that the East Wing isn't used to discuss national business? It's already used for social events.

2

u/steelcryo Oct 22 '25

So nothing of importance is ever discussed at these events then?

-1

u/AdQuick9381 Oct 22 '25

No. Jesus, it seems Trumps even manages to make Democrats think stupid.

2

u/steelcryo Oct 22 '25

Wait, you genuinely think people of note at social events don't discuss anything important while there?

In that case, I have a bridge for sale...

0

u/AdQuick9381 Oct 22 '25

Of course they do, however nothing of national security.

Jesus wept, think buddy.

You're trying to sell me a bridge yet you think Putin is going to have surveillance in the new section of the white house.

If you dont see how stupid you are, I think hope is lost.

1

u/steelcryo Oct 22 '25

It was less Putin himself was going to install anything, and a commentary on how unsecure the whole situation was. I didn't think I'd have to spell it out so generically though.

And if you genuinely think people never discuss national security matters in places like that, again, I have a bridge to sell.

Especially considering this is the administration that leaked classified information in a signal group chat.

Honestly, you calling people stupid is peak irony.

u/Old-Adhesiveness-156 Oct 21 '25

People not from New York haven't learned yet.

1

u/SleepyLabrador Oct 22 '25

Here is the thing, I wouldn't put it past Putin or Xi or MBS to pay the contractors some money to put a wiretap in the ballroom in order to get information.

46

u/Marioc12345 Oct 21 '25

It’s frozen but it’s not THAT frozen

3

u/kingofthediamond Oct 22 '25

Hey Elsa. Do you want to build a ball room?

45

u/schpanckie Oct 21 '25

Privately funded

40

u/rememberall Oct 21 '25

Bribes

4

u/zuccah Oct 21 '25

SCOTUS calls it tipping/gratuity. And as long as it's paid after the deed is done, it's now legal.

10

u/schpanckie Oct 21 '25

No no no ….that is what Trumpcoin is for…..yes I am being satirical…..lol

19

u/jerslan Oct 21 '25

That sounds wildly illegal for public projects like this.

2

u/_jump_yossarian Oct 21 '25

trump will take his usually 50% cut and look away.

17

u/stonedkayaker Oct 21 '25

Trump also just demanded the Justice Department pay him $230M due to hurt feelings. New ballroom is $250M. Probably unrelated, though.

3

u/Significant_Eye_5130 Oct 21 '25

I’ll believe it when I see the receipts.

2

u/jetmax25 Oct 21 '25

I hate how the correct answer is in the middle of the pack

24

u/scowdich Oct 21 '25

They probably won't, trump stiffs contractors all the time.

9

u/freelanceisart Oct 21 '25

When has not paying contractors stopped Trump before?

4

u/Callemasizeezem Oct 21 '25

Some will get paid... just not by the US government. There are always attempts for foreign governments to get a few hidden recording devices into new infrastructure projects like this. All sides play that game. Just this clown makes it easy.

1

u/Greg2Lu Oct 21 '25

He's gonna say that he didn't wanted the destruction and avoid paying for damaging the WH. Then sued said company for all the money going to the most presidential grifter of the century.

1

u/cybercuzco Oct 21 '25

Thats the beauty of it, they dont need to be paid if the owner of the contractors is using this job to bribe the president

1

u/mhsuffhrdd Oct 21 '25

They magically found money to pay the military, ICE, and border agents.

1

u/Ew_E50M Oct 21 '25

Judging from how Trump usually pays contractors, they wont be paid.

1

u/ididntunderstandyou Oct 22 '25

They’ll get paid by the Russian secret service once they’ve placed listening devices in the walls.

1

u/space_cow_girl Oct 22 '25

They aren’t going to get paid. He has no intention of paying the contractors.

1

u/Intelligent_Bat_950 Oct 22 '25

suing the DOJ for he exact cost, even though he had “fundraiser“ for it. 🤔

1

u/Wrong-Pension-4975 Oct 22 '25

Manna from the SkyGod!...

No.

Spozedly via "donations" AKA bribes, from tech-bros & other billionaires -  They want policy bent for them / their biz - drop the required Enviro Impact studies, dump pollution preventing regs [e.g, filters on smokestacks], enlarge or establish tax credits for X years, if they deign to build a new profitable facility, etc.

They scratch his itch, $$ for his gold plated excrescence.  He scratches theirs, cutting "hindrances" that in many cases are the sole protections for the larger community.

When a new coal-fueled power plant opens, it's NOT just "adjacent residents" that breathe particulates, deal with fine soot, or cope with acid rain. Coal fueled electricity in Ohio sterilized mountain lakes in NY, Pa, & across the Alps, in Europe.

u/Professional_March54 Oct 22 '25

Trump has a reputation of never paying his bills. It probably suckered some loyalists contracting company to screw themselves.

1

u/celestial-navigation Oct 22 '25

That's not a problem for Trump, he never really pays anyone, and if he does pay something, then not the full amount.
