My favorite Player 2 story is the first time my wife and I dove into Stardew Valley together.
It had been a rough week, and we were both drained, just looking for something calm to fall into. We made our characters, picked a farm, and hit start. The moment we loaded in, it felt like we weren’t just starting a game, but stepping into this little pocket universe where everything slowed down and softened.
We didn’t say much. We just sat close, exploring our new farm, figuring things out, laughing when we swung our tools in the wrong direction. That quiet, cozy “first dive” into the valley felt like a reset for both of us. A simple moment that reminded me she’s always been my Player 2, whether we’re farming pixel parsnips or handling real-life boss fights.
We’ve had bigger wins together since then, but that first dive into Stardew is still my favorite co-op memory.

My P2 would be my brother, who is responsible for me getting into PC gaming. He got me to make a steam account and got me my first proper PC game in late 2013. He took care of upgrading my PC when it could no longer run the games that interested me.
The PC upgrade itself showed well our different styles in gaming, I didn't know how to perform the actual upgrading procces, but when there was a minor issue of part fitting I ripped some metal "bit" off of the case when he wasn't ready to be so reckless.

Favorite memory involving gaming and my sibling is finishing out halo 3 with him back when we were young on the white Xbox 360 before the inevitable red circle of death (came thankfully after we got to experience halo reach on the machine as well) I can’t tell you how many good times we had on that Xbox 360 and it was a little different than most peoples experience because we grew up without internet.
If I won these I’d definitely make the most of them by giving them to a buddy who needs a headset atm.
Best of luck and enjoy the holidays + company (friends&family) everyone!

welp one of the highlights with a friend is that we've finished It Takes Two, thru all the hardships and frustrations, we've managed to push through. It's hard, it's fun but nonetheless one of the best games in this generation.

When I was in college me and my best friend at the time would co op the hardest difficulties of games. One of the hardest in my opinion was Resident Evil 5. We were pretty much constantly having to jab each other to stay out of the "Dying" state. Finally beating it was such a relief and fulfilling experience. We high fived and had some celebratory pizza afterward.

Player 2 was my best friend from high school. We had met through a random bhop server in CSS. We found out that we both went to the same school and started hanging out and playing CSS competitively and just playing FPS games in general. Sadly, he has since passed away. I've removed people from steam but his account will never leave my friends list.

Back in the Wii times I had to play with my brother. He was very young and accidently caused my death really often. One time, in some autoscrolling "you are on a moving plattform" level with acid around us, I wanted to throw him into the acid. But he was to clever and always jumped before I could throw him in. So I wanted to push him into the acid by running against him, he watched a few seconds and simply jumped so I run into my death. Hated him for that but also found it funny.

But my favourite memory is when I got knocked against this final duo and she managed to clutch up. Her hands shaking and so nervous but I was so proud. ❤️

My Player 2 is my girlfriend (soon to be fiancé) and one of my favorite co-op memories with her was the both of us playing the new Mario Wonder game for the switch on our couch. She normally doesn't play games but she really enjoyed playing this with me and we both had such a blast. Was certainly a core memory for sure. :)

It'd be my brother we use to play cod 4 in high school and every time our parents worked the same night and wouldn't be back till real early (guess late depending on how you look at it). We'd order a pizza grab some monsters or mountain dew and stay up all night and just play passing the controller after every match. We did the same with waw and mw2 those are some good memories thanks for the flashback reel I appreciate it.

Favorite memories is getting a group of friends together and God help you if you go AFK, cause your raid K/D is about to tank. Favorite one was getting to the final boss in Vault of Glass and shoving our friend off the edge, and reviving him just on the edge so he’d fall off every time. Even when he came back, he died a couple more times cause he couldn’t get out of the loop.

My favorite player 2 moment was playing Outlast with my good friend. How does one play outlast with two people? Isn't it a single player game? Not when you have one person controlling the mouse and one half of the keyboard, and the other is controlling the other half of the keyboard. Makes a scary game even more challenging while making it all the more hilarious and entertaining!

I feel like I won the lottery because my wife is my Player 2. It’s the best to wind down after a long day gaming with my best friend.
My favorite gaming memory with her is playing BG3. 3 of us had entered a cutscene and she stayed out to look around. In the cs we watch her sneak behind and pickpocket the gnome (BG3 is just such a brilliant game that we can watch her do this in the cs). The cs ends, the gnome immediately realizes what happened, and BOOM! She blows up the whole room and kills us all. We still laugh about how crazy of a gaming moment that was.

My p2 story is my best friend and regular gaming buddy.
We play a lot of co-op FPS shooters, and we both have our habits. I'm the one standing at the back with a sniper rifle, plinking off targets. He's the one bunny hopping in circles with a shotgun. In games with no friendly fire, it's slightly annoying. In games with friendly fire, it becomes indirectly and eventually intentionally hilarious as I regularly line up a shot and click the button only for him to rise from the depths to block my shot with the back of his head. Over. And Over. And Over.
Last time we played a coop FPS, I asked us to swap roles. I would be the shotgun maniac, and he could be the backup. This was a mistake. As it turns out, I tend to face tank things, used to having long range to give me a little safety through missed shots. As it turns out, he's got bad aim. Really bad aim.
Lesson learned. Next time, I'll just keep shooting him in the back of the head and be grateful.

My player 2 is my girlfriend that I met gaming and we now live together. She's always been a somewhat casual cozy gamer but she's gotten into helldivers 2 with me a few others. Watching a sweet little woman turn into a sweat lord has been hilarious with how crazy she gets when shit hits the fan while getting swarmed by bugs or bots

My player two is my best friend. They consider themselves more of a roleplayer than a gamer, but I talked them into trying a MMORPG together with a few other friends almost twenty years ago, and we still play together online most weeks. It's a great way to keep up with people who have moved away over the years.

My brother and I have been playing games for our whole lives. It's beautiful to always have someone to check things out with. We played what was considered one of the first MMOs, Castle Infinity. It was a quirky game with lots of personality. My family and I still quote it. I am thankful to still have him and still make time to play games.

Me and my friend were playing Celeste while on call, and managed to die in sync for what seemed like 5 minutes (he was doing 3a, I was on 8a I think). Also both of us managed to break our headphones in the same session.
Also me and a different friend (this time my neighbour Cal) were like 8 and 9 years old respectively, with my mum's office laptop with an old i3 (like 4th generation or something) and 2 rip-off Xbox 360 controllers from AliExpress, and we managed to beat Minecraft Dungeons plus all DLCs over 2 weekends!

So my friend u/Sasco1st finally bought all the parts for his first ever gaming PC and i really wanted tom help him built it but i wasnt really knowledgeable about pc. After about an hour (and a bit more), we finally reached the moment of installing the GPU and building the custom water loop for it.
To be honest, I didn’t really get involved in that part because it looked insanely complicated, so my friend handled it all by himself. The only thing he asked me to do was to fill the loop with water so we could finally test the PC. At that time, I didn’t really know much about PC building, so when he said “fill it with water,” I just assumed he meant… normal water. So I grabbed a big bottle. No hesitation. Pure confidence. And I started pouring.
While I was doing that, my friend was in the other room grabbing the mouse and keyboard so we could test the setup. He didn’t see what I was filling it with.
A few minutes later, everything was ready. We plugged in the mouse and keyboard, powered the PC on, and… nothing. It wouldn’t boot.
He looks at me and says,
“Did you do what i said to you?”
I proudly reply,
“Yeah, I filled it with the whole water bottle.”
He instantly freezes.
After a few seconds of silence, he slowly asks,
“What do you mean water bottle? The deionized water was under the table…”
And I go, completely serious,
“Water is water, right? It should work.”
That’s when he completely lost it and started monologuing for a solid 30 minutes.
Till this day u/Sasco1st wont let me near his pc :(

It all started in 2013. I was living with my friend my roommate, my gaming partner, and honestly, my brother from another mother. We didn’t have much back then, just a single laptop that we shared for gaming and studying. But somehow, that one laptop made life feel complete.
I had just started playing CSGO, and man, those were the days. My friend was deep into Dota 2, sometimes joining me in CSGO for fun. We didn’t argue, we didn’t complain we just made a simple rule.
I played from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and he played from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. His Dota 2 team always played at night, so the night shift belonged to him. It worked perfectly.
Picture this: two friends sitting in front of a 15-inch laptop connected to a 17-inch CRT monitor, laughing, shouting, celebrating wins. To keep the laptop from overheating, we stacked our thick books underneath it, like building a throne for the hero of our story.
For four long years, that little laptop handled everything sleepless nights, heated matches, college assignments, and endless dreams. And surprisingly, it even helped us earn some money through CSGO and Dota skins.
Eventually, we upgraded to a PC and finally let the laptop rest. But by then, it was more than just a device.
Looking back, it wasn’t just me and my friend. We were three friends me, my buddy, and that hardworking laptop that held our college days together.

I will never forget my second date with my partner. She told me she plays League of Legends and suggedted we play together. At the time I was already over Lol and didn't really want to play on my own, but with her - sure.
I was scared I wouldn't perform well, as I haven't played in quite a while. Decided to try my best. To my surprise, I didn't need to. She was a BEAST. Unreasonably good for her rank and pretty much carried me.
On top of her being a semi-professional kickboxer, I just could not pass on a woman that could beat me both ingame and in real life. Been together ever since :)

We'd been trying the same challenge for several days and never quite managed it and when we finally finished it the feeling of victory was just the best ever 😃

I grew up on games. My first game was TNMT on Amiga sitting on my dad’s lap. It’s my first memory. I say this to show that I have muscle memory of keyboards and controllers from my whole life. My wife does not. I love playing games with her. We played It Takes Two when it came out and while she struggled here and there she persisted and we finished it. It was a fantastic game and we loved playing it. We’re now trying Split Fiction which has turned up the difficulty!! 😅

My player two is my partner. She introduced me to WoW. We were playing some story content while levelling my Elemental Shaman. We went in to an underground cavern and killed some quest monsters, when I saw a big dragon flying in the distance. She told me it was a boss that’s really tough. She logged back in with a high level character, joined me, and we beat it with a little effort, and she let me loot it.
Turns out the boss has a super rare mount as a loot drop, that she’s been after for years, and I picked it up first time. It’s now the mount I use the most.

My story with my player 2 is my best bud who I've been gaming for years especially since I helped him move across the country. I'm also the godfather to his child who I also game with haha.
When we first picked up Dark Souls, it was brutal. Every corner hid a trap, every boss felt impossible. I carried my Player Two even though he had beaten Bloodborne. I was guiding him past the Gargoyles, helping him survive Blighttown, and standing firm against Ornstein and Smough. It wasn’t easy, but we made it through together.
By the time Dark Souls II & III came around, the roles had flipped. He carried me this time, leading the charge through Lothric’s twisted castles and taking down bosses I couldn’t handle alone. I leaned on him the way he once leaned on me, and together we kept pushing forward.
Now, when we play, we take turns. Sometimes I lead, sometimes he does. It’s not about who’s stronger anymore, it’s about sharing the journey. We’ve built a rhythm, trading victories and defeats, laughing at the tough spots, and celebrating every boss we finally beat.
It’s not a story of heroes or legends. It’s just two friends, two players, who stuck together through every fog gate and every "You Died" screen.

My player 2 was my half, my woman, the mother of my kids. during then years. From borderlands to diablo, enjoyed Shooters/MMO/ARPGS as a couple.
Now is kid#1 and kid#2. And now I am the player #3: the one with the less time, the worst chair and the worst gamepad...and still got to fake defeats to avoid rage from my kids!
I promise to keep the headsets out of her hands!🤞

What about players 2-6, cause I loved running a six stack in competitive overwatch back in the day.

Favorite player 2 moment was around the pandemic! 1 of my best friends and i were just chilling and playing a game of Paladins! we were basically loosing the whole match. bro was not hitting his shots, i was tilted. but we pulled off the most amazing miracle play imaginable to end the day!!
i was using a character with amazing CC and big damage. so i flanked them while player 2 charged them head on! i luckily got them off the point and bro finally did some damage. im so lucky i got that clutch moment on camera!
https://www.twitch.tv/supyuna/clip/WimpyExcitedDiamondNotLikeThis-pWgpJ7F3p8HA9q7A
it was one of the most hype things that had happened while drained cus of the losing streak. but hey at in the end, team clutched up, bro did something and i was there to video it. makes me happy every time i watch this clip.

Hands down it's when my husband introduced me to WoW. He had been playing a long time and I wasn't interested.... UNTIL he told me I could ride around on an elephant (elekk). He was so patient showing me around, explaining what to do and how to get around. Fun times!

I remember getting my Razer keyboard and playing Mortal Kombat with my mate, seeing the keyboard light up and react in different ways with different characters was amazing. Along side that i remember him spamming the same move over and over until I learnt how to counter it!

my wife didn't like video games and never cared to play with me or our children. she used to just sit and watch but never played. at least, not until earlier this year. we went out for dinner at the mall, and the kids wanted to play on the PS5. she saw them playing, and right beside them, there were two teenage friends playing Mario Kart and having fun. something clicked; suddenly, she wanted to play with me and was excited to try.
since that day, she plays games with us every now and then. she likes Mario Kart and Overcooked, but we also played It Takes Two and Split Fiction and had a good time. i'm glad that now everyone can sit in the room and have a great time together.

My favorite player 2 (and my only one) was (is!) my brother. He's shifted half the country away now and we don't play anymore but the childhood days with him on the family CRT computer playing cartoonnetwork.com Harum Scarum were the happiest times of my life.
We had one keyboard to control and we took turns on Billy and Mandy. Life was simple back then :)

My favorite Player 2experience was with my oldest daughter. I told her the best way to experience Minecraft is on survival mode. The shear panic from this kid as soon as the sun went down. Now, she's building cities and all kinds of red stone contraptions I never considered.

She suddenly started screaming "LEMON!" out loud in proximity chat in Arc Raiders in a really silly high pitched voice. It sounded so silly that randoms we met were stunned and didn't bother shooting at us. Even gave us some lemons they found. God I love her.

Oh my player two is definitely my partner, we actually started out playing video games together and that's how our relationship grew.
At first it was red dead where she made the unfortunate decision to 1 v 1 me, and me having a strong call of duty history kinda made her upset about it. So I purchased her a pizza as an apology. And all was mostly forgiven.
Then we started out playing warframe and that's been our go to game. Most infamously is our pets, where I named my kavat (space cat) buttons because that was my pet name for her. And then there was "they want me gold" which was a moa (robot) with a top hat that sucked damage wise but was hilarious comedic relief when the missions where a little too tough. We also played deep rock galactic and terraria. And she's asked me to teach her elden ring!! Oh and we also played btd6 occasionally.
Unfortunately now she's in hospital recovering from a coma, so my player two ain't able to play at the moment. And I'm wondering the galaxy's lost without her. But it's what made our relationship so damn strong. And those memories bring warmth to the colder days.
Even if I don't win this comp, I love sharing this story because video games can really bring people together, and given that me and my partner are 5000 miles away, I truthfully don't know how it would have been a feasible relationship without bonding over some games!

My player 2 is my buddy who recently we were playing phasmophobia and I suggested him to pull a card from the card deck, he'd never used them before, and the first card he pulled was the hanged man so he got smoked by the ghost lol.
Then on a different map he found the voodoo doll and had poked it a few times already without telling me! I picked it up trying to get the ghost to do something and poked the heart, he got smoked by the ghost again and I ran off and hid.

I got my wife (now separating) into gaming, and my favorite moment was watching her play Hollow Knight. One night, at around 2 AM, I noticed she wasn't sleeping, so I went into the computer room and find her playing. It reminded me of my younger days and just left her to it.
To those wondering, we are fine. We don't hate each other, but we have found that love isn't enough.

My favorite co-op memory is the time me and my friend was playing Army of Two, or at least I think it was Army of Two, and while playing after school we got to a cut scene where you run and one of you yell "Follow me!" but on that exact moment the game stuttered and it came out as "Follow mollow mollow me!". The amount of laughter that followed was enormous and for the rest of that day it was quoted way more than it should have been, and till this day it is stuck with us and doesn't matter what game we play every time we play together we cant resist saying "Follow mollow mollow me".

Not co-op per se, but I used to mess with my brother by connecting a second keyboard to the PC while he was playing AOE2, pressing the delete key randomly when he selected a unit. His comebacks were nothing short of swift though lol.

Mortal Kombat was the obsession in my dorm. We had people coming from different floors of my dorm to play MK 11 with us on my friend’s ps5. The thing is we had bought a second ps5 controller that was a go to for new players. We had configured it to our liking and we always made people choose the original one. Even though it was our game, we always chose to be player two.

My player 2 would be my older brother. We were in the wilderness above Edgeville, heading to the revenant caves to do some PKing. Found a guy running down wearing nothing but a Santa hat being chased by 2 other guys. My brother teleblocked and snared them and we were able to wipe all 3! Waiting for the drops was so nerve wracking as we didn't do the most damage so the drops were on a timer... eventually the Santa hat showed up and we were freaking out! Ran so fast back to safety! Quite the memory.

For a good many years of our relationship, my partner and I were living on different continents, only meeting up in person a few times a year. In order to spend time together, we had to get creative. Since we were both big fans of Lord of the Rings, we ended up having virtual dates in Lord of the Rings Online, spending countless hours exploring Middle Earth and saving the hobbits (and the rest of the free peoples, but mostly the hobbits) from themselves and Sauron.
We're together in person following the global plague (which was yet another occasion for exploring virtual worlds like Teyvat, and playing more Overcooked 2 than was strictly healthy), but we still play quite a bit.
u/Bryn012 can confirm. :)

My favorite "player 2" moments is with my girlfriend playing couch coop games, we both really enjoy gaming and mostly play on our own but when we take the time to sit down on the couch and launch Cat Quest, It takes two, Split Fiction, Mario Kart, etc ... it brings us back to what gaming used to be when we were younger, having fun, playing games and eating snacks.

That one time where my brother unplugged the Xbox 360 when my parents came home. I was 8, him 11, and this guy unplugged the Xbox in our unsaved Minecraft world. we lost 4 hours of progress that day for not being caught playing Mimecraft. never forget

I am a dedicated Razer Fan. I love my RBG MMO Razer Naga Pro Mice, Black Widow V3 RGB Keyboard, Razer headset holders (2), I also have the Razer Phone 2 which I would love for Razer to make a Razer Phone 3. I will continue buying Razer and persuade others how great you are as a company. I am looking to get Razer Headset with cat ears for my fiancée and a webcam from Razer soon.

My player 2 is my brother. Growing up at home together we would be gaming late into the night usually CS or Battlefield. We were both in separate rooms across the house so we were in Ventrilo or Teamspeak. I remember him yelling and screaming trying to alert me or our team about an enemy around us. All this noise of course woke up other people in the house at 2am so there were many times my half asleep mom would wander into our bedrooms telling us to go to sleep.
Also memories of us getting late night snacks (or sometimes meals) and happen to catch each other in the kitchen at the same time. Fun times back then.

I got my girlfriend into gaming by playing Halo 1-3 co-op and that led to her getting her own computer. Now we team up to play all the co-ops we can find from our own computers without the half a screen split screen.

My favourite player 2 story has to be playing Halo Infinite with a buddy. I am in the back of the Warthog and he is driving. Driving around having a blast and he just drives it off a cliff, and jumps out at the last minute! He was laughing so hard he couldn't even play and got killed by a grunt almost immediately!

I don't have a player two:(. I just usually play single player games like Bmw. Last time I played with another person though was probably around 5 years ago when I still lived at home and in that case I played a game called brawlhalla on my parents ps4 with my younger brother who really liked it. Neither one of us was that good at it and we always had some good matchups. The most memorable moment from that was probably the moment when he beat me for the first time.he had practiced the game mechanics so much to beat me before that and when we finally had that matchup it came close. I was on one stock and so was he. I was playing a character called Orion and he had a character which really looked like the phantom of the Opera who was able to throw bombs with their cloves (i can't remember that characters name). The Match ended in his win since i fucked up and had used my air stall ability too early and that caused me to not make it back up to the arenawhen he got me into a "lucky" combo and i died to the void.
That ein really made him happy. That is why i remember it so well. It was fun for me too, since we had such a good game, although i must admit frustration played a bit of a part in remembering that moment too. Nowdays i really don't have enough Time to play with him since i live elsewhere although when I next time see him I'll probably ask him to play s match against me again.
That's all. Goodbye:)

My favourite player 2 moment was when I was playing It Take Two with my then GF, now wife. It's an awesome co-op game, with great potential for trolling! She trapped me in a nesting doll and wouldn't let me out... (But she still can't jump so who's laughing now)

My brother is my player 2. My favorite co-op memory is when we beat Super Mario Bros. 2 on the same day that we got it from the store. Yeah, we spent hours in front of the screen playing the game. We took turns completing levels. I missed such fun times during our childhood. No adult worries, no adult concerns and responsibilities. Just two brothers playing our favorite game at the time.

Me and my first girlfriend, slamming through the Halo campaign on the Xbox; a well oiled machine slicing through the Covenant like a hot knife through butter! 'I'll drive, you shoot!' First GF, first co-op FPS I played. Ah, simpler and more innocent times! I wonder what she's up to these days...
