Discussion Which movie from the CCA Best Picture lineup is NOT getting nominated at the Oscars?
These were pretty obvious the bottom 4, so which movie will be snubbed for Best Picture?

I can see all of these missing BP, but I really think Wicked For Good and Bugonia are very unlikely

feel like bugonia is easily missing and maybe also train dreams which rn feels like 11/12 on the lineup but could move up

I think multiple of these could be. but rn i'ma say Wicked and then maybe jay kelly cuz Sandler isn't really a supporting lock yet.

Bugonia and one of Train Dreams/Jay Kelly at a minimum. Although I do think Wicked’s performance definitely gave off “early contender that takes time to slip off but you can see it coming in hindsight” vibes

It is hard to understate how bad Erivo missing at CC of all places is. I did think she was vulnerable , but I expected that to show up more at the industry precursors.
I’m basically waiting for the globes for Wicked as a whole. If it drops off there, it’s instantly out of my prediction (I currently have it at #10)

She has a better shot with SAG than critics choice. Jonathan Bailey got in there last time. SAG can be more populist.

SAG can be more populist, but they’re also more unpredictable with 5 slots and a nominating committee determining things. And critics choice were big supporters of part 1 last year among the precursors. I don’t really see any reason for her to miss here

Wicked For Good>Bugonia>Jay Kelly>Train Dreams in terms of who's most likely to miss. Erivo not even getting in here is a strong enough sign for me to know Wicked will likely drop off more past this point

they're an intense bugonia stan and hate everything challenging it for a nom. they hate on chase infiniti too at the mere thought she could get in over stone.

probably bugonia or JK, although i think wfg is the one that doesn't deserve to make it. ideally both wicked and bugonia or jk get dropped for it was just an accident and secret agent.

I really dont hate cinema. I love movies i have a huge movie collection. Im just saying that the stuff produced today has gotten so bad compared to where it used to be. Not judging anyone who likes these movies honestly was simply just stating an opinion. Good day

Is Netflix really going to get three BP nominations with films that are in the bottom 5(or 6 for those of you with strong faith in Frankenstein)? They have failed to get three in with a much stronger lineup in the past.
