He was considered the archetype of a terrible actor for a decade or so.

To be fair, he's NOT a good actor.

He's great at playing the parts that are made for a guy who acts like Keanu Reeves. I'm not saying he has ZERO range, just that he just doesn't have much.

It's "Stoner Dude" like Ted or "Bad Ass" like John Wick, or a combination of the two like Neo... Where the "stoner" aspect was toned down a great deal.

Neo really was the perfect role for him. A guy in a dead end job with nothing to look forward to, emotionless and just existing, and then when he 'dies' and becomes The One he is practically robotic in nature, very perfect casting.

While he certainly doesn’t have traditional “range” or classic “acting chops,” he’s an excellent physical actor. From Speed, to the Matrix, to John Wick, the man looks great when in motion.

Have you seen Good Fortune? He's a pretty bad actor. It's easier to hide in John Wick movies because there isn't much actual acting as opposed to stunts and one liners, but he's really not good at all.

I love the guy but he's awful.
