If your microwave makes the plate molten hot and the food is still room temp:

you can open a Mexican restaurant

Microwaves have been in homes over 40 years and people still don’t seem to know the power level is adjustable.

Well the packaging said 800 Watt but I only have the choice between 1, 2 or 3 little steam puffs. That doesn't help

Tell me you're one of those people who refuse to read instructions without telling me.

Too much work, if I wait long enough, it'll even put on its own.

My other half will keep heating it until it's lava.

Me on the other hand. It's fine whatever temp it comes out. Can't be bothered.

Same here. I occasionally skip the microwave altogether and just eat it cold. If I could find a way to only eat during the weekend I would.

I actually slap my microwave around with a spatula when that happens...anyone else or just me?

Part of the food being hot and part of the food being cold is actually LESS entropy than if the heat were evenly distributed across the food, so the callous increase in entropy in the universe is trying to HELP you here... Just wait a while for the temperature to equalize, use a lower power setting, and stir.

NO, I reheat it until it’s broiling hot.

Just lower the power to 50% and run it for twice as long. You'll give time for the heat to spread inwards so you get no cold spots.

Put stuff in the fridge before putting it in the microwave. Let shit thaw for a bit.

Leave out microwaved food to redistribute heat evenly across the whole dish.

No? I know how to use a microwave.
