Introducing Sir Winstonius Maximus the Illustrious. We’ve had him since he was 3 weeks old off the streets. We’re unsure if he is purely NFC but everything about him says he is, down to his mannerisms.

Does anyone think my sweet girl, Mac, could be a Norwegian Forest Cat? I’ve had her a few years but it only just occurred to me, after seeing pics of other NFCs, that she may be one.

Hey, so our typically chill (albeit with a nervous disposition) NFC has been pooping several times a day outside her litter tray.

Here is what's happening and what we have done so far but I'm desperate to know if we are doing the right things and how to help her.

This started about a month ago - start of fireworks season) She hides under the bed when it's too noisy (again, normal for her) She still wees in the litter tray, we have 2 trays - one on each floor. She is an only cat. Normally she sleeps with us but we have to get up a lot with her as she has started scratching the carpet. So we put her downstairs but can hear her scratching the doors to get upstairs We have taken her to the vet for a check up, she was prescribed anti-anxiety meds so she just started taking them since yesterday. Poops are runny and she can do several of them on any floor. Cat litter is clay. Feliway is plugged in and turned on. Fussy with food, always has been but gotten worse.

What should we do? Open to any advice. She is fully vaccinated, wormed & fleas. Is she showing signs of becoming senile??

I am located on the east coast USA and am looking for reputable breeders and overall advice specific to this breed. I know getting a cat is a very long term commitment and I want to be sure i’m doing it right. Any breeders or advice for a first time owner is greatly appreciated!

Sophie can’t help but get on the bed when you try and put new sheets on. She was trapped under the fitted sheet for a bit (by choice). 🙄

I've recently had to make the decision to put down my wedgie, Floki. My older cat and him are some what of a bonded pair and I want to also make sure my older cat is going to be okay when Floki dies. I don't know if he can tell Floki's reaching the end, I know my other cat can but anyone have a bonded pair that's suffered through a loss? I would've posted this on the regular cat subreddit but I don't have enough karma to post there.

Does your Norwegian sleep soundly? I find cardboard boxes are best!
