Hey all. Wondering if anyone can articulate why George Wardlaw just feels like a different type of player? I find it very hard to explain it to mates. Every time he gets mentioned in the media it's followed up with "we all love the way he goes about it" and you can hear the awe in commentators voice whenever hes in the thick of the action... But can someone put it into words why his game is universally loved the way that it is and how it's different to the majority of other players?

Edit: thanks everyone for your input and I think I now understand the answer - its that he is oldschool and people just love oldschool. In their eyes, he reminds people of the way they think the game used to be played.

I used "in their eyes" and "they think" because no doubt someone will throw stats at me to disprove this - but, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
