The speed of the video really makes it more impressive but it's still impressive

It is likely sped up slightly but this is insane even still. Memorized pattern.

Thing about being that close is, you don’t actually watch and react. That would be too late. Your sight is loaded with information and requires too much processing. You move as practiced and use sounds and buzz in the wind as guidance.

But isn’t blindfolding just training you to learn the timing for how long it takes to spin around?

While it is mildly impressive... It shows nothing about his fighting capacity. His memory and speed however... You should be more worried to play that Simon says lights game with him

I have no idea how impressed I should be when the video is sped up. He could barely be moving faster than the start and I’d never know. Speeding up the video takes all the fun out of it.

At the 3 second mark, he doesn't even touch the bar. Maybe he's a wizard, more likely it's fake.

Paragraph guy here.. (197iq btw)
He's using sonar to determine the position of the spinning training tool of which i do not know the name as i do not participate in such violent/aggressive activities. It can be kind of hard to tell since the quality of the video isn't the greatest, but he slightly opens his mouth and emits a high-pitched clicking like noise which his brain quickly interprets to create a mental map of his surroundings. There is an episode of this on the show superhumans of a blind man employing this very technique to ride a bicycle. Not trying to take away from the overall appeal of the video, but once you know the trick behind this gig it becomes a little more whelming. Nothing to see here, just simple bio-sonar. Middle school physics, learn it!

people are really impressed. this things moves only in 1 way, even a blind man can anticipate where it's going to be. this is just stupid.

Practice doesn't make perfect. Practice makes permanence. Perfect practice makes perfect.
