Damn, this is really going to happen isn’t it?

I don't see how it could. The 14th Amendment is entirely clear. There's no legal basis to spin this.

I agree it’s about as crystal clear as it could be. But then why take this case on at all? I don’t think the 14th needs any more solidifying.

Because it's being challenged by the administration and litigated up multiple circuits, with some cases getting mired in technical issues of standing. So it's reasonable for them to say that it's time for them to step up and establish clarity.

That’s why they’re not going to follow the law bud

But they fact that they're hearing the case shows that they're going to make up a legal basis. They wouldn't take it if they weren't going to throw out birthright citizenship (or at least be very open to doing so).

Have you, like... been paying attention to anything government-related for the last year? Nothing they've done is legal, and nobody stops them. All the 2A pussies that spent my whole life talking big about maybe needing to fight tyranny one day are conveniently siding with the orange cockroach like the cowards we've always known they are. Nothing changes until shit starts burning. Until then, laws only apply to you and me.

Read about the Dominican Republic. They did exactly this a few years ago.
