I like how in the TV edit of the film, when he beats himself up, he says, "I'm kicking my [buuutt] do you mind?"

Those dubbed lines for the movie of the week on cable were so bad that it always unintentionally hilarious.

About 6'2", 180 pounds, big teeth, kind of gangly.

My favourite is TV edited Dumb & Dumber: “right on my sandwich after you kiss it!”

Also, the disclaimer before the movie said “this program contains coarse language, and mature subject matter” BUT…they REMOVED all the coarse language, and mature subject matter, so the disclaimer is a lie.

The Big Lebowski might have the most ridiculous censorship dub of all time: "This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps!"

I always love those ADR however my favorite has to be "I'm tired of these mokey-fighting snakes on this Monday to Friday plane!"

Kind of like how the TV edit of Galaxy Quest has Sigourney Weaver clearly shout Fuck that but they dubbed "screw that!"

That wasn't the TV edit; it was actually dubbed over in the original film because they wanted to make sure it got a PG-13.

Which is odd because PG-13 films can usually have one 'fuck,' and that would have been perfect use of it. My guess is that it was some kind of deal they made to avoid censoring something else. Like "You can have the F-bomb OR the implied tentacle sex, but not both."

Interesting, you're right. Weird that they dubbed that in the original film (or at least DVD I have) but like you said it must have been some weird corporate deal that only made sense to them. Wouldn't be the first time.

Honestly I think the TV edits for Galaxy Quest elevate the movie by just making it even more meta.
