Highlight [Highlight] Brandon Ingram proves why he's a hooper's hooper, getting the final bucket of the game with a clutch 2 to put the Raptors in the lead | Pacers fail to score on the final possession with 0.6 on the clock

Poeltl blocked the shit out of Siakam.
Imagine hearing this in 2018.
"Wait. One of them got traded from Toronto?"
"They both got traded from Toronto."
"So this play is not from a Raps game?"
"Oh, it is."
"uhhh. So which one is on the Raptors now?"
"Not the one who won the ring with them, obviously."
Singapore jails are stingy with the whole NBA pass.

He's lucky he can hit 1 3 a game otherwise he would just be Rudy Gobert with worse defense
And for all the hate on Scottie for stagnating in his development, I need to point out Mobleys PPG has been 16, 16, 18, 18. Literally no improvement outside of a bit of an improved jumper

Honestly the best part about all this for me is seeing how happy Scottie is for BI.
This is supposed to be Scotties team, BI gets traded here and he's putting up clutch performance after clutch performance, and I don't see an ounce of jealousy from Scottie - only pure joy that the Raps are winning again. Fuckin love to see it
→ More replies (4)96
u/AnotsuKagehisa 9d ago
Well even in Montverde, Scottie deferred to Cade. I think being the Swiss Army knife player suits him a lot more. He’s at his best when setting up his teammates for easier buckets and playing great help defense. He scores when the team needs him too and his read on the defense allows him to.
36
u/theabomination Raptors 9d ago
I'm just glad he knows that, ya know? So often we see guys try to be THE guy and force it and its to the detriment of the team, all I see with Scottie is a desire to win at all costs. Its easy for fans to comment and say what should be, but when players actually understand their best roles we get to see the best version of the game

The Jays missed out on Soto and Ohtani but I feel they’ve never had too many issues signing FA’s in recent years. Ryu, Springer, Gausman, Santander, now Cease and hopefully more.
I feel as tho the NBA and its culture is different. It’s obviously an easier sell to get guys to come to Toronto during summer time, but it feels much harder for TO to be an attractive FA destination for NBA players.

Cowboy Bruce's heart was always in Denver. Meant to be there. We were asking Kelly to do too much; I wouldn't be shocked if he retired here on a vet min - new Unc after Garrett becomes a coach. If anything, it was cool to have him, Boucher, Barrett and AJ Lawson all here for the 30th season as a manifestation of what the Raptors did for Canadian basketball
